Ziggy is the cutest, happiest boy! Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan who saw him get thrown out of a truck! Can you imagine that that is what someone thought to do?!?! Ziggy LOVES hugs, he desperately wants to feel safe and loved, and then go run around and play fetch and come back for more hugs! Love this boy!!! Look at his adorable “widow’s peak“ hairdo. And those EARS!!!! What great ears he has. If you have TONS of love to share and are looking for a great pup, Ziggy just might be your guy. He is just about a year old, 45 ish pounds, maybe hound, doberman,  shepherd mix, just cute, cute, cute!!! And he is surprisingly heartworm negative! Story
Meet Madeline! Meet our adorable, quirky little Madeline. We believe she is a dobe mix, but is smaller than most dobes. Madeline is probably 5 years old and weighs right around 50 pounds. She looks like an abstract Doberman,  just a little crooked:) This little girl clearly had a rough beginning. She came to us with very little fur, a nasty skin infection and of course heartworm positive. Her fur is coming back in but she may have some permanent scarring, the infection is gone. Surprisingly, she is heartworm negative Madeline’s hips are a little bit off so she has an awkward, prissy, gait. She likes to run and play but should not be a marathon runner. Supplements and occasional meds are all she needs to keep her happily moving on. Madeline is full of love but does not seem to understand small children so probably best that she go to home with older kids, 10 and up, or an adult only household. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this precious girl please fill out the appropriate application. Scout’s Honor Rescue covers all costs associated with fostering.   Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs June 29, 2025, 10:27 pm

Story
We invite you to read through Brisket's journey and consider how you might assist him. â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fâ€\x8D🩹â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fâ€\x8D🩹â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fâ€\x8D🩹Brisket arrived at HADR approximately two months ago, having endured a neglectful situation.Fortunately, a compassionate individual began feeding him through the fence. One day, Brisket managed to escape and chose to follow this kind person home. They subsequently arranged for temporary foster care, which led him to HADR.While under the attentive care of our exceptional veterinary team, it was discovered that Brisket has Stage 1 Renal Disease and is also heartworm positive. Despite these challenges, he is bravely taking it like a champ! Just as he did when he followed the good Samaritan that day.He is truly a survivor. â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fâ€\x8D🩹The costs associated with his medication and prescription specialized food are significant.Below, you will find a link to where you can purchase Giftcards towards Briskets bags of Veterinary Prescription Food.Every first Friday of the month is our $5 Friday, where all funds raised will go towards and contribute to Brisket's care.Given Brisket's medical needs, his adoption may not be easy or straightforward, so we are seeking a long-term foster home. As always, HADR will cover all of his veterinary care and food requirements. We kindly ask that you to consider open your heart and home to this sweet boy.We believe he is worth it, and we are confident that our Facebook Friends and community can make a meaningful difference in his life.Gift Cards- towards his food:https://www.chewy.com/.../houston-area-doberman-rescue...Monetary support:Please mention Brisket’s name in the Donationhttps://www.hadr.org/give/hadr-general-fund-2025Questions please email: contact@hadr.orgApply to Adopt or Foster at www.hadr.org.
