Meet Kobe A Relaxed, Well-Mannered Family Dog Looking for a New Home Breed: Doberman Pinscher / German Shepherd Mix Gender: Male | Age: 6/21/2020 | Weight: 95 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Children ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Loving | Relaxed | Social | Well-Mannered Training: ✔️ House Trained | ✔️ Signals When He Needs to Go Outside Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date Adoption Contact: Tommy Wu — (626) 20662-5831 Courtesy Listing: Ozzie and Friends Rescue is helping share Kobe to increase his chances of finding a loving new home. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Kobe’s Story Kobe is a 6-year-old Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd mix weighing 95 pounds. He is currently looking for a new home because his owner is no longer able to provide the care he needs and wants Kobe to have the opportunity to find another loving family. According to his owner, Kobe has been a great companion and a very good boy. He's a relaxed dog who doesn't need to be constantly entertained. He's perfectly happy lounging around the house with his people, but he's also ready to head outside when it's time for a walk or some fun. Kobe especially enjoys going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. He is reported to get along very well with dogs and is also great with children. Inside the home, Kobe already has some wonderful manners. He is house trained and communicates when he needs to go outside, giving his family plenty of warning before he has an accident. His owner reports that Kobe rarely barks at home and does not have a habit of chewing furniture. There is one funny exception: paper napkins should probably stay out of reach. Those apparently remain irresistible to Kobe. As a Doberman/German Shepherd mix, Kobe may share characteristics commonly associated with both breeds, including intelligence, loyalty, attentiveness, athleticism, and strong bonds with their families. At six years old, however, Kobe's individual personality is already well established. His owner describes a dog who has learned how to live comfortably as part of a household and enjoys a nice balance of relaxation, walks, social time, and companionship. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect One of Kobe's biggest advantages is that he already has experience living as a family companion. According to his current owner, Kobe is: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Good about signaling when he needs to go outside ✔️ Relaxed inside the home ✔️ Accustomed to regular walks ✔️ Social and playful with other dogs ✔️ Great with children ✔️ Generally quiet at home ✔️ Not known for chewing furniture Even with these established habits, Kobe will still need an adjustment period when he moves into a new home. His new family should give him time to become familiar with new people, surroundings, expectations, and routines. Existing training should continue to be reinforced through patience, consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home These are guidelines rather than deadlines. A major change at six years old can take time, and Kobe should be allowed to adjust at his own pace. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Kobe is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. His new family should continue providing routine veterinary wellness examinations, recommended vaccine boosters, flea/tick/heartworm and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming and nail care, appropriate daily exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary. At six years old, maintaining a healthy weight, appropriate exercise routine, and regular veterinary care will become increasingly important as Kobe approaches his senior years. Any available medical and vaccination records should be transferred to his new family and reviewed with their veterinarian. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Kobe, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping dogs find safe, loving forever homes. We work with adopters throughout the Western United States, Midwest, and Canada, and safe transportation can be coordinated for approved adopters. Our goal is to give dogs the best possible chance of finding the right family, regardless of where that family lives. Adoption and transportation fees vary depending on the individual dog and destination. Adopting Kobe means committing to his health, training, safety, companionship, and happiness for the rest of his life. Kobe isn't a tiny puppy who still needs to learn how to live in a home. He's a mature, house-trained companion who already knows the joys of lounging beside his people, heading out for a walk, and playing with other dogs. His circumstances may be changing, but what Kobe needs is simple: another loving family, another comfortable place to rest, and the security of knowing he's home. This time, we want that home to last for the rest of his life. October 2, 2026, 5:12 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zeus is a stunning young fawn Doberman with soft ears, freckles, a big heart, a busy brain, and a little white lightning bolt on his chest. He’s affectionate, goofy, athletic, smart, and deeply bonded to his people. He loves snuggling, training, tug, puzzles, adventures, and being his person’s shadow. He knows sit and down and is highly motivated by food and toys. Zeus is extremely observant and needs a proactive handler who can create space and help him navigate exciting situations on walks. With dogs, he is playful but intense — definitely more “DOBERMAN RUGBY” than polite hello. He is not a dog-park or daycare dog, and future dog friends should be carefully selected and introduced slowly. Zeus is also very physical when he plays, he may jump, body-slam, mouth clothing, or launch into celebrations, so he needs someone who appreciates his goofy enthusiasm while teaching calmer play. Because of his size, energy, and prey drive, he should not live with cats, small animals, or small children. An experienced large-dog owner, ideally familiar with Dobermans or similar working breeds, would be best for him. Zeus’s foster mom is a dog trainer and will provide complimentary private lessons to help his adopter continue his training. Because he bonds deeply, adopters should plan on several meet-and-greets, walks, and/or training sessions before bringing him home. For the right person, Zeus is a sweet, loyal, ridiculous, and deeply loving Doberman with beauty, brains, big feelings, and one very serious lightning-bolt side quest.
