Story
Kane is a sweet 3-year-old Doberman looking for a good home. He’s super smart, loves to cuddle and enjoys playing. He’s trained and knows a lot of tricks already. He does well with other dogs, but he’s not good with cats or kids. He can get nervous with loud noises and needs someone patient who will give him time to feel comfortable and settle in. He’s a good boy who just needs the right person and a calm home. ❤️I’m currently fostering him with full ownership but cannot keep him because I’m moving abroad in the next coming months

Story
Phantom is a one year old Doberman and pit mix, about 59 pounds. He came to us in May badly underweight. Two months of good food later he was healthy and shiny with energy for days, and watching him bloom was one of the better parts of our summer. We want to be honest about where he is now. Phantom has been in a kennel a long time and it is wearing on him. He is a big, strong adolescent who gets frustrated, and he is mouthy. At 59 pounds that is not a small thing. He does not settle or redirect the way he did earlier in his stay. This is what long term kennel life does to a young dog with a lot of energy and nowhere to put it, and it is exactly why we are working to get him out of here. He knows sit and he is highly food motivated, so he learns quickly when someone is working with him. He tested well with other dogs earlier in his stay, but we have not retested him recently, so we are not going to tell you he is dog friendly today on the strength of an old test. He is untested with cats and untested with children. Phantom needs an experienced home. Someone who has handled a large, mouthy, frustrated young dog before, who has the structure and the time to work with him, and who understands that the first few weeks will be about letting him decompress rather than about progress. He is one year old. With the right person he has every chance. If that sounds like you, or if you want to know more about exactly where he is right now, please reach out and we will tell you everything we know. We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability. Story
I was originally adopted from a nearby shelter but my owner died and the surviving relatives didn’t want me so here we go again. I came this this shelter with a small dog, so I probably won’t mind having a new friend. I especially like the girls and the more stable, sedate pups. I am quite friendly and love to get affection and cuddles from my humans for which I will return the favor. I like to watch the world around me and to participate in anything my humans are doing. I look forward to any training we can have fun with together. Do I sound like the companion you are looking for? Let’s meet and find out if we are the perfect match!

Story
Thor is sweet, loving, and happiest when he's cuddled up with his people. This handsome boy is learning to live in a home by following another dog and is making great progress every day. He's also working on his leash skills and gaining confidence with each new experience. His gentle nature and affectionate personality make him impossible not to love. But Thor's story didn't begin with comfort and security. These beautiful puppies didn't start life with love — they started it fighting to survive. Abandoned in Puerto Rico and left to starve, this multicolored litter was found just in time. Weak, hungry, and scared, they had no one looking out for them until rescue stepped in. Now they are safe, healthy, and finally learning what it feels like to be cared for. Despite everything they've been through, they are incredibly sweet, playful, and full of love. They are trusting, hopeful, and ready to bond with families of their own. ✨ Thor's Details: 8 months old Approximately 37 pounds Current on age-appropriate vaccines Mixed-breed "Sato" puppy from Puerto Rico Sweet, affectionate, and eager to learn Working on leash training Great with other dogs Thor is ready for a family who will show him that he never has to worry about being abandoned again. Adoption Fee: $395 To apply, please complete an adoption application and send us a message. Thor can't wait to meet his forever family. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
