Story
Sady came to 4 Paws as an unclaimed stray, and we later learned that she had recently had puppies. We don’t know what her life looked like before coming into rescue, but we do know that she deserves a chance to finally have a home of her own. Sady is approximately 6 years old, weighs 48 lbs, and is now spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She does well with people and can do well with other dogs when properly introduced. She has no interest in cats, so a home with cats could be a possibility. Sady has a moderate to high energy level and would love a family who will keep her active and involved. Walks, adventures, playtime and plenty of time with her people are right up her alley. As with all dogs, Sady will need time to adjust to a new home and its expectations. Her future family should understand that pet ownership is a lifelong commitment, one that requires daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. Remember: a good dog is a tired dog! If you’re interested in adopting Sady, please DO NOT CALL us. Instead, complete an online application at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/21800/generic. We verify the care of current and past pets. Our primary goal is to find the best homes for our dogs and cats, and we reserve the right to approve or deny applications based on what’s in the pet’s best interest. Sady has already been through a lot. Now it’s her turn to have the loving home she deserves. ❤️🐾 #LoveDogsForever #RescuedIsTheBestBreed #Dogs #RescueDog #LoveDogs #Adopt #AdoptDontShop

Story
MISSION UPDATE: SANTINI HAS BEEN DECLASSIFIED.The top-secret rescue operation is complete, the paperwork is secure, the witnesses have been relocated, and we've finally received clearance to reveal the face behind the mystery. And yes - he really is VERY handsome. For those just joining us, Santini is a healthy, young, 85-pound Lab mix who came to us from the West Coast after some very good people helped get him safely out of a bad situation and into a much better one. When he first arrived, we were being extra cautious about sharing his photo or location online. But Santini is safe now, so he can finally step out of the shadows, ditch the voice changer, and reveal his true identity.Even better, we’ve learned more about our canine asset.Santini LOVES children. He LOVES other dogs. And he loves people in general with the wholehearted enthusiasm of a dog who apparently believes everyone he meets has been personally assigned to his detail by the Department of Snuggling.Santini was clearly a beloved family dog before his life took an unexpected turn, and it shows. He has excellent house manners, loves to play, loves to cuddle, and is wonderfully social and affectionate.Santini’s unusual journey does NOT come with unusual problems. He's simply a very good dog who needed a safe place to land - and now he needs his next family. And unlike before, you no longer have to take our word for how handsome he is.Exhibit A is attached.Come meet Santini at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA.Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to noon daily, including weekends and holidays. The mission now is considerably simpler: Find this wonderful dog a home.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
