Maggie mini absolutely stole my heart with her belly flops and snaggle tooth. She showed it off when she was smirking at me giving me a little silly reassurance that she loved me too. When I tell you I had to fight the urge to put this girl in my car and drive home, I reallly mean it! We would have drove off into the sunset and never come back! Maggie is the playful, gentle, friendly dog that you dreamt about when you were a kid. Just the right size to hop in the car and go, the kind that makes you laugh by just being her playful self, right by your side, and the first one your guests want to see when they walk in. Sorry, it had to be said, she is going to be popular in the friend group. She has a presence that just fits right in and feels lovingly familiar. Estimated to be just over 3 years old, Maggie strikes the perfect balance between sensible and mature with a young-pup enthusiasm for all things fun. Car-rides, dogs, chase, walks, snacks…all things Maggie declares fun and fun is her favorite. Don’t worry though, fun does not mean busy. She knows how to chill. In fact one of the first things I fell in love with about her is how quickly she brings herself back to calm following a moment of excitement. Whether she got excited about meeting a new dog or getting a belly rub, she goes from whole-body wiggles to sitting at your feet in literal seconds, on her own. That level of self-awareness and self-regulating is impressive and often takes time and training to achieve. Our director shared that one of the cutest things Maggie does is while she is at her desk typing away, Maggie will gently position her head so she can nibble on her ring to suggest maybe its time for a play break. She understands when to wait though, never pushy she may give you another nudge to be sure you won’t take the bait then she will go lay down. Plus, and almost most importantly- Maggie is fully house and crate trained. Whether allowed to free roam for stretches of the day or crated during construction projects in the building, she has never had an accident. She is perfect, I could stop there and she would be a 10 out of 10. Maggie was introduced to a handful of dogs, varying sizes and energy levels, so we could see her play style and the type of dog she enjoys most. Just like people, dogs have preferences and types. Her “type” is best described as a mid-level energy male who enjoys chase but doesn’t mind that she will almost always win. While we introduced her to dogs, in a variety of ways, we saw that her enthusiastic friendliness can sometime lead her to bark at approaching dogs, almost like she is saying “ hey, wanna play?” She is attentive to correction and easy on-leash, so with a quick reminder that we don’t “yell” at our friends, she will be right back to quiet companion. When approaching people she gets equally excited at the possibility of pets and belly rubs but you won't hear a bark, you will see the excitement in her body as she wiggles and sometimes melts. The body language is clear, I am friendly, pleased to meet you and ready for a belly rub or kiss. Your choice. This was in fact the same way she approached a 4 year old she was meeting for the first time. She was mindful of his size, gentle and calm, while letting him know she was open for love. What we loved seeing was how she allowed him to put his arm around her neck and even though she wanted to kiss him and shower him with love, she held it together and let him lead. He made her biscuit and cheese sandwiches, according to him they are her favorite, and it honestly took him forever in dog-waiting-for-treat time, but she sat there patiently waiting for her sandwich then took it soooo gently when it was served. Seriously!? Maggies love of play and connection is best suited for kids 5ish +, she wants to interact and engage, play and make memories. The ideal home for Maggie would be one with a yard and a medium energy male dog to romp around with. She’s happiest in a home with a yard and would love a medium-energy male dog to romp around with. While she’s full of love, Maggie isn’t a match for dogs smaller than 25lbs +/-, cats, or farm animals—she just finds them way too interesting and her eager approach to play is not for them! Meet Marina, the beautiful girl who is eager to please!! Marina is the kind of dog who makes you feel special the moment you meet her. Her gaze is soft, her coat a breathtaking blend of slate gray and pale sandy hues, and her giant pointy ears stand tall like she’s always listening closely for the next kind word. Because to Marina, your words matter. Your affection is everything. Marina is a 51lb doberman shepherd mix who we believe is about 2 years old. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But we know this for sure, she is a precious affirmation seeker who will do her best to make you a happy pet parent! She lives for human connection. Big ears, bigger heart, and BEST personality. Molly Dolly is the literal definition of happiness! Oh my goodness, is she happy all the time and has the ability to make every single person around her smile. Her ears do too LOL which are my personal favorite thing about her. Molly Dolly is more than just happy all the time, she is incredibly smart, dog friendly, great with kids, loves to play with toys, and a beautiful blend of fun and snuggles. We just had to know where that athletic build, curved nose, and sweet disposition came from. Molly's embark DNA test came back and listed 50% Dobermin Pinscher, 39.9% Bull Terrier, 10.1% American Pit Bull Terrier, and is categorized as "One exceptional dog." Which we already knew that of course. Molly approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 53 lbs. She's all legs and ears, literally. One thing we really love about Molly and where that bull terrier shows in her appearance is her nose! She has that unique curve to her nose the same way bull terriers do. Her nose and her ears are by far her best features! Molly is very dog friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She is so good about matching energies with other dogs. She will be relaxed if they are more relaxed and she will play hard if they play hard and she really really likes dogs that are capable of doing both because she doesn't always want to play all day every day. She doesn't get jealous when other dogs get attention, she shares love, treats, and toys fabulously. I have personally seen a dog go out of their way to steal a toy from her and interrupt games of fetch by chasing after a ball simply to beat her to it. She has even had a young male that can be pretty pushy and pesky like an annoying little brother, mess her like crazy when all she wanted to do was just play with her ball LOL and she still handles all of that amazing. Just goes to show how tolerant she is and how happy she is all the time and just lets things roll off her back like it wasn't a big deal. Molly would do best in a home with a moderately playful dog that likes to play and one that also likes to hangout and relax. If you don't have other dogs, that's okay too! She would be great as a solo dog as she does not need the constant play to keep her entertained or need the companionship to help her open up and be comfortable. Molly is a happy social butterfly all on her own and she would love to be the center of your world. Molly would also do best in a home without any kitty friends. Her basics are already solid too! Molly is fully potty and crate trained, and a quick learner. She already knows some basic commands, like sit and has a pretty decent recall already. Molly is fairly easy to walk on a leash and will be a great adventure buddy! She does pull occasionally out of excitement or if she wants to go sniff something but is easy to correct. She aims to please and loves to learn new things too. This confident girly is even a fast learner when it comes to agility courses! If you have ever wanted a dog to learn agility, Molly is ready for it! She didn't hesitate one bit when I asked her to jump up on a tire obstacle. She waited up there too! All it took was a few treats and she was an agility superstar. This girl really can do it all. With the right training and guidance, there’s nothing you can throw her way she wouldn’t be able to do. She would be the perfect adventure companion to take with you on walks, hikes, and could even make a fantastic running partner. Yes, Molly can be a super fun, active, adventurous girly but she also has a calm side as well. She seems to already have some level of understanding that play time is an outside luxury. Of course, she will play indoors with a toy or tennis ball if you want her to but she is really good about finding a spot on the couch with her favorite toy and is perfectly content doing her own thing. Molly's dream home would have a big backyard where she can stretch those legs, smell all the smells, and a place where she can find that perfect spot in the grass to bake in the sun. She would do best with a semi-active family that wants to take their dog with them on hikes, maybe even are looking for a running partner, and also are looking for a dog that likes to relax as well. She can certainly do both after she's had some form of mental stimulation. Molly would also make a great addition to a family with kids! Even with her size, she is so mindful and gentle. Molly has spent time with a 4 year old and she absolutely loved him! She wasn't phased by him blowing bubbles in her face, tickling her belly, messing with her with his toesies, and was loving hanging out with him. Molly didn't even mind sharing her toys with him and she loves her toys! At one point he had all of her toys putting on a "play" for her and his mom and Molly just watched. She took treats from him gently and never once knocked him over by accident. She is so aware of her size and has wonderful spatial awareness. If you have kids that love the doggies and are use to being around bigger dogs, Molly will be their bestest friend! We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. Meet Lulu:  Lulu is a 1-year-old fawn Doberman Pinscher Mix who’s as beautiful as she is brave. Weighing around 70 pounds, this gentle girl has come a long way from her tough start. She came to us very underweight after being found on the streets , and while she’s still working on putting on those last few pounds, her spirit is already full of love. Lulu has had her spay surgery and is up to date on all her vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and ready for her next chapter. She absolutely loves to snuggle and play, and she bonds deeply. Because of her past, Lulu experiences separation anxiety and is still nervous around traffic. She will need a patient and understanding family who can help her feel safe and secure, ideally in a quieter area. Lulu does well with other dogs and is cat-friendly too! However, she’s proven to be a bit of an escape artist, so she’ll need a very secure yard and extra supervision when outside. This sweet, affectionate girl has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to help her feel truly at home. She must be signed up for basic obediance classes to ensure she continues growing into the amazing girl she will be.
