Story
Charley is a sweet/ non aggressive doberman. Our busy schedule with work isn’t allowing us enough time with her that she deserves. She LOVES playing frisbee. She hates getting wet. She is purebred European doberman with papers from Sierra Dobie Farms. She has all shots and is turning 5 years old in a week and a half. We have really struggled with this decision, but we want what is best for Charley. She wouldn’t harm a fly and is a true Velcro dog. She doesn’t want to leave your side! We will only allow her to go to a safe, loving home, so we will be interviewing interested people. Thanks

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs.. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
This is Jason Bourne and he is a 1 year old, 48 lb dobie/pointer mix. He has a beautiful soft black and tan coat. Jason has the sweetest disposition. He is a very confident boy that loves affection from humans! It takes him some time to warm up to new people but once he does he’s all yours! Jason has a very soft mouth and will sometimes jump but it’s more of a soft jump to receive affection. He loves to have his head and belly rubbed and will lean into you for affection. Jason is great on a leash and will not pull. He will walk right next to his handler. He will pull some when meeting a new dog but will not bark. Jason gets very excited when he meets new dogs but responds to correction well and will eventually settle down. He is crate trained as far as we can tell and would do best in a home with a fenced in yard where he can run and play and get out all his zoomies! This boy has LOTS of energy! His new family will need to work with him on continued training and socialization. Especially because he becomes excited when meeting new dogs and will try to pull to get to them. He would be an excellent hiking partner since he is does so well on a leash. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meadow is an absolutely beautiful Doberman Pinscher. She is smart and kind of silly. Her play bow is a joy to watch as she has these long front legs that go a bit akimbo in her excitement to invite you to play. She likes playing ball, and is very responsive to commands of sit and drop it. She also has great recall. She is pretty easy on leash, although still prone to pulling when excited so some continued training on this front will help. This girl is a great dog with such potential. She needs a loving home to make that potential a reality.

Story
Zeek is a playful, goofy boy who can't wait to bring some fun to his forever family. At 5 months old, Zeek still has a lot of puppy energy and will need a home that can provide him with plenty of opportunities to let that energy out! He still has a long way to go with his manners, and can be quite jumpy when he is excited or overstimulated. He loves to chase his squeaky toys around the yard, and enjoys going for long sniff walks with volunteers. He would be a great companion for an outdoorsy family to take camping or hiking, and would love a safe outdoor space where he can frolic! In shelter, Zeek has been exhibiting some separation anxiety throughout the day, and will need a guardian who is willing to work with him to feel secure in his new home. He can be quite vocal when he is left alone, and may not be a good fit for apartment buildings. He does love to please, though, and we expect that with lots of patience this sweet pup will turn into a fantastic, confident canine companion! Zeek would likely do well in a home with a older, confident dog, and has coexisted peacefully with cats as well. Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet Zeek. You can also submit an application online if you would like to save some time when you come visit.
