Izzy is a gentle girl, and so very playful. She is as content to snooze at your feet as much as frolic in the backyard with her doggy and human friends. The Ideal Home for Izzy will provide a large, cool, landscaped yard, lots of playmates (older kids and friendly doggies) and human adults who understand that all dogs require ongoing training. Izzy is so delightful that she would also do well with an active retired couple. Izzy is quite the social butterfly who will be a part of whatever fun things you are doing! Whether supervising or participating, she will be the best beloved of your entire family. Dogs are being turned in higher numbers than the shelter can accommodate, therefore many are losing their lives due to lack of cage space. We are helping get the word out of their immediate need. I weigh approximately 95.00 lbs. STAFF NOTES: 07/03/24 impoundment/intake/vaccines: good boy. calm and did not react to other dogs. 08/09/24 Temp tested with a large Shep. Both did well, no aggression seen. Strong boy who pulls a little but showed no interest in the dogs he walked by. Sniffed at other dog and let the other dog sniff him then both walked away, came back again, sniffed some more and walked away. No aggression seen from either. 08/15/24 good boy, clean and quiet in kennel. Continues to kennel well 08/15/24 Took out to the play yard for pictures. Sweet boy, he's silly and playful but gentle. Easy to leash but pulls when walking. shows no interest in the other dogs. Will sit, takes treats genteelly but does not catch them if tossed in the air. Nice boy, a true gentle giant.
