Story
Looking for a Loving Home for Dutches 💜 Hello everyone, I’d love to introduce you to Dutches — a sweet, loyal girl who deserves the very best home. Breed: Dogo Argentino / Staffy mix Name: Dutches Gender: Female Age: 2yrs old Not spayed Microchipped Up to date on all vaccinations Dutches is an incredibly loving and gentle soul. She knows several commands — sit, stay, wait, eat, lay down, leave it, drop it, and more. She’s very patient, fully potty trained, crate trained, and she’s not a barker when left alone. She’ll even wait politely for permission before eating or going through a doorway. She truly aims to please and LOVES food with her whole heart. (She’s very food driven, very easy to train) ❤️ She would do best in a home without young children, as she has a back ground with that. We are also open to rescue if it’s open to her. I can drive up to 2hrs from her location (94536)

These pups are in Palo Alto, California too!

With time, care, and love, she has healed beautifully in foster and revealed herself to be an absolute delight. She started out at 18 lbs and is already pushing 30!   A Love Bug Through and Through   Ruthie loves everyone, but she forms extra-strong bonds with “her people.” She is already perfecting the art of being an oversized lap dog and gives world-class hugs. She’s a full-body leaner, a snuggler of the highest order, and a dog who truly believes that being close to you is the best place on earth.   She’s also a huge fan of sunshine, warm spots, and heated blankets. Rain, cold mornings, and being asked to pee in unpleasant weather? She will make her objections very clear. She is deeply committed to staying warm and cozy.   Playful, Goofy, and Endlessly Entertaining   Ruthie is a toy enthusiast who loves fetch and will happily entertain herself by tossing toys around. She also uses the couch as her personal booty-scratching post — a skill she demonstrates daily.   When she’s feeling extra energized, she may throw in some sharp little puppy nibbles to get your attention, but she redirects beautifully to her toys. She is actually quite good at playing independently and will zoom, pounce, and chew her way through her toy pile with enthusiasm.   Crate Comfort & Company   Ruthie sleeps in a super-cozy crate right next to her foster’s bed. Comfort is very important to her. She’s fantastic in the crate when someone is nearby. She’s improving with solo crating but still tends to bark and cry when left alone; she’s getting the hang of it slowly.   Potty Training Progress   Ruthie has come so far. When she first arrived, she only wanted to pee inside or on concrete. That first week was tough. But she has worked incredibly hard and is now doing so much better. She still has occasional accidents, but she’s learning quickly. She likes to use the same spot in the yard (as long as it’s kept clean), which will make teaching her a new potty area in her adoptive home very easy.   Her Daily Routine   6:30–7:00 am: Ruthie wakes up, stretches, and does her morning puppy yoga routine. She absolutely takes her time — she is reluctant to leave a warm bed and must be bribed outside every morning. Once she pees, she races back inside and climbs into bed with her foster for another hour or two of snuggles. She is the perfect lazy sleeping-in companion.   8:30-ish: Second potty break. Then it’s PLAY TIME.   Morning: After her nap and snuggles, she’s ready to go. Ruthie does zoomies, plays fetch, tosses her toys, and entertains herself for about an hour. She mixes bursts of play with lounging and chewing on toys. She’s equally happy playing alone or interacting with her people. She would love a dog friend but does well solo too.   Daytime: She alternates between naps, chewing toys, hanging out while her humans work, and short play sessions. She loves being near her people and enjoys having a steady rhythm to her day.   5:00 pm: Dinner.   Evening: More playtime, toy adventures, and cuddles.   10:30 pm: Bedtime in her cozy crate.   Out and About   Ruthie has been on many stroller adventures (until she outgrew it!). She’s visited the farmers market, an art fair, and a thrift store. She loves being out in the world and exploring new places. She’s met many new dogs, adults, and children and genuinely liked everyone. She may give a brief moment of pretend shyness, but it fades in under a minute.   Who She Is at Heart   Ruthie is resilient, loving, hilarious, affectionate, stubborn in the cutest ways, and endlessly endearing. She’s a sunshine-seeking, blanket-burrowing snuggle buddy who brings joy wherever she goes. She’s ready for a family who will continue her training, appreciate her big personality, and give her all the comfort she craves.December 4, 2025, 11:19 am
