Adoption fee is $50 during our Bissell Empty the Shelters event 5/1 – 5/15!! Application must be submitted to secure an appointment!Meet Swan. She and her sister were strays in the Homestead area before coming to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue for a new chance at life. Swan is beautiful and very sweet and people friendly. We believe Swan was born at the beginning of April 2023 and is possibly a Dogo Argentino and/or lab mix. She's around 60 pounds of love!Swan's adoption fee of $250 has been lowered to $50 and covers her up-to-date vaccinations, vetting, registered microchip, dewormer, and spay. Bruno is a great dog, active and loves to play, go for walks, and run around. He has gotten into several fights brought on by other dogs aggression. Otherwise he is very gentle, likes people and dogs that are not aggressive.

Story

Mardi is a 4 year old affectionate 52 lb-er who loves the company of people and dogs. She is a happy pup who loves to play, stealth at stealing socks, hides under shower curtain and looks like “Layla the Boxer.” Mardi is house broken, leash trained, and knows several commands. She was found as a stray in Punta Gorda by Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County. She is a big fan for squeaky toys, sweet potato, baby talk, walks, car rides, making new friends in dog parks. She has not interacted with kids or cats with me but suspect with her social tendencies, would enjoy. She is attentive, curious, loves belly rubs & believes she is a lap dog. She enjoys sleeping (sometimes snoring after dog park visit) in her crate. Mardi craves attention and would be happy in a home with space to run and people and/or dogs to play with. I am starting a new job with significant travel and recognize she needs stability. Message me if you would be interested in meeting her.
