Story
Duke is one of those dogs who makes friends everywhere he goes. He loves everyone he meets and greets people with an easygoing, friendly attitude. Despite his powerful size, he’s a polite guy with nice leash manners and calm behavior in the car, which makes outings and road trips a breeze. At home, Duke is crate trained and does well in an Impact crate, but gets a whole room to himself because he has been spoiled just the right anount 😉 We’re not sure how he does in a wire crate, but he settles nicely in the setup he knows. Structure is key and he does best when expectations are clear. Because of his size and strength, Duke is looking for a home with no other pets and either older kids or no kids at all. He needs an adopter with Dogo Argentino experience, one who understands the breed’s strength, drive, and need for consistent handling. He is not a pit bull, but he is also not a labrador and punishing him for his breed traits as he has been in the past will do more harm than good. We are looking to set Duke up for long-term success. In the right home, Duke is a loving, loyal companion who wants to be part of your daily life and is a venti-sized velcro pup. Sausage, but make it Vienna     Vienna is a 5-month-old boxer mix female who is quickly stealing hearts — and honestly, she might think her name is “Sausage” because foster mom can’t help herself (you know… Vienna sausage ).   She’s truly the whole package — great with dogs, cats, and kids, and absolutely loves to cuddle. She even sleeps with us and soaks up every bit of affection she can get.   Vienna is crate trained and potty trained on a schedule, and she’s incredibly smart — especially when food is involved. Teague is a very sweet guy! He is a boxer mix believed to be between 3 - 4. He is super sweet and affectionate.  He gets along with other dogs.  House trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is very thin as he didn't have the best start in life. Desdemona is a people person! She loves to give you hugs and kisses and follow you all around the house. She is a medium energy girl and thrives with a balance of exercise and cuddle time. Desdemona originally came from a background where she didn't feel safe and did not have enough food. Because of this, she is leery of other animals and finds children frightening. At this time we are recommending she be adopted as an only pet to a home with no young children.   Desdemona was potty trained for the past several years, but has regressed a little bit upon losing her stable home and coming back into foster care. We've found she does best if you stand outside with her in the yard until she does her business or walk her on leash. Desi really is a very sweet, loving girl.
