Desdemona originally came from a background where she didn't feel safe and did not have enough food. Because of this, she is leery of other animals and finds children frightening. At this time we are recommending she be adopted as an only pet to a home with no young children.   Desdemona was potty trained for the past several years, but has regressed a little bit upon losing her stable home and coming back into foster care. We've found she does best if you stand outside with her in the yard until she does her business or walk her on leash. Desi really is a very sweet, loving girl. This is Tiger he is a red bone coon dog mix with red nose pit bull he’s a very great dog, very affectionate, smart, obedient, loving a truly great dog. He’s great with other dogs small and large, with cats, with kids with everyone he meets. He loves car rides and the outdoors all weather he loves to play in the snow, run threw fields, swim, lay by the water while you fish, and play in the rain and mud, and baths are an all time favorite and having his nails done wearing dog clothes and being pampered. I’ve had him for almost 4 years since he was 7 weeks old he’s been a true member of our family and I hate having to find him another home there’s been circumstances out of my control that have forced me to have to rehome him. He knows all basic commands sit, stay, lay, paw, and roll over, high five, crawl, spin, and can do it with verbal or silent hand commands. He is leash trained, house trained and crate trained. Please help me find him his next great 4ever home and family. Thank you.

Phil is a 1.5 year old pittie mix, with the goofiest personality. He was originally adopted out as a puppy but a year later his owners dropped him off at a shelter saying they no longer wanted him. Luckily, we were contacted and able to bring him back into our care - he is now thriving  and ready to find his family!  Even though he had a rough start at life, he is still the happiest and sweetest boy. He LOVES kisses and snuggles, all you need to do in kneel down and he’s right there!   Some fun facts about Phil:    •K nows sit, shake, easy, stay (this is a newer command that he is working to master) and down.    •Walks great on a martingale collar, but even on a flat collar he does okay   •Phil is child friendly! He’s currently living with an infant in his foster home and doing great so he may do well with an infant that he can grow with, but not suggesting toddler right away. He has tested very well with toddlers but in the home, they may be too unpredictable for him right off the bat. He does amazing with older kids that understand boundaries (no hugging or sneaking up on him).  •No cats/small animals    •Phil is a high energy boy, who would love dog siblings that match his energy to play with!    •Corrects well from other dogs    •Prefers mental stimulation over walks    •Needs help learning manners, his original adopters didn’t give him structure so he will need consistency and patience <3 He’s improved with his manners SO much the last few months !   •Crate trained   •He will do best in a single family home (no apartments), as he needs a yard to burn energy.   •Potty Trained   •Available for Foster-to-Adopt, and our Featured Fur Friend (adoption fee is only $50)    June 18, 2025, 4:05 pm

Let me introduce you to this 3 year old, 60lb, gorgeous pit mix named Prowl. Yes, from the Autobot litter born on 5/15/2022 at #MutzMaterutyWard. If you missed out back then, you now have a second chance! Through no fault of her own she is back with SAAP, however she did come back in a terrified condition. She will need a special adopter to understand and take things very slow and allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. If she has a dog friend it will help her open up and show you some of her true colors. Once she is out of shell she is so much fun and truly enjoys being a dog and playing with her dog friends in the backyard. She has been with me for a year now and she now a confident dog around me and actually tries to push boundaries! She is still timid around new people but will approach them if she is being ignored or there is a treat involved.
