Story
Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.

Courtesy post...email Daniel at brown.danielalbert@gmail.com to meet Bjorn Pet's Name: Bjorn Breed: American Bulldog/Dogo Argentino mix Age: 6 years old Weight: 85 lbs Neutered: Yes Health Condition: Bjorn suffers from severe allergies that have impacted his overall well-being. Despite efforts such as allergy testing and various food changes, his condition has not improved. The veterinarian recommends specific medication and a raw diet to manage his allergies, but the owner, Daniel, is unable to afford these treatments due to financial constraints. As a result, Bjorn's quality of life has significantly diminished, and he is currently experiencing discomfort and suffering. Behavior and Temperament: Bjorn is a friendly, affectionate, and well-behaved dog. He is good with people of all ages, including children. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, displaying no signs of aggression throughout the 5 years and 3 months that Daniel has owned him. He is house trained and has learned a variety of commands and tricks, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. His favorite activity is playing fetch with his chuck-it ball. Additionally, he is not an excessive barker. Current Vaccination Status: Bjorn is up to date on his rabies vaccine, and he has received the full series of distemper vaccines in the past. Reason for Surrender: Daniel is surrendering Bjorn because of financial difficulties. Due to a significant cut in income, Daniel is unable to provide the necessary medical care and specialized diet that Bjorn requires to manage his allergies. Daniel is making this difficult decision out of love for Bjorn, not wanting to see him suffer any longer. Ideal Adopter: We are looking for a loving and responsible adopter who can provide the necessary medical care and support for Bjorn's allergies. Experience with allergy management in dogs, especially with a raw diet, would be beneficial. The ideal adopter should have the financial means to cover ongoing medical expenses and be committed to maintaining a high quality of life for Bjorn. Additional Information: Training: Knows commands such as sit, lay down, roll over, high five, stay, jump spin, crawl, and can be trained to pee and poo on command. Favorite Activity: Enjoys playing fetch with a chuck-it ball. Personality: Affectionate, friendly, and well-behaved. Contact Information for Adoption: If you are interested in adopting Bjorn and providing him with the care he needs, please contact Daniel at brown.danielalbert@gmail.com. Thank you for considering giving Bjorn a loving home and a chance at a better quality of life ***Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. He’s very energetic he loves to run he loves being in grass he like to play and interact with other dogs. He and my cat get along okay but they are both males what he does is try to put his weight on him to keep him from moving he likes to chase him around the house. He isn’t around children a lot right now because I don’t have children of my own but I do not believe he would harm a child he doesn’t like being pulled by the tail. Over all he very lovable he’s a great dog he’s a great protector once he gets use to you.

Kodak is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Kodak (Koko for short) is quick to steal your heart with his puppy eyes. He is a dog who loves the company of people for an overdose of pets and belly rubs, and will seemingly begin to melt into your hands when you're giving them to him. When it's time for some activity, Kodak loves a good walk. He especially loves to keep his nose to the ground to explore, and would love either a backyard or someone who will take him on long walks to take in all the smells. He seems completely potty trained as far as his foster can tell, and has not had any accidents in the house or his crate. Kodak is an easy going guy, he is happy to hang around by himself but will get up to show you how excited he is to see you! He loves a good sniffari adventure and will wait politely by the door until you are ready to leave! On days when you can't be giving him attention, Kodak has done well in his crate and loves a good nap on a soft bed. Kodak can get a little nervous around other dogs, and needs a slow introduction when meeting them. However, he is doing well with the resident dog at his foster home now that they've become accustomed to each other, and they even play the occasional game of tug-of-war with some toys. He's great with meeting new humans too, but we are working on him not jumping since he's just so excited to meet new people, and he also can pull on his leash when he's excited about his walk. Koko would add a ton of love and happiness to any family looking for a furry friend, so reach out to meet Koko today! ATTRIBUTES: Kodak has done well in foster with other dogs but requires a slow introduction with dogs. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Power is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: I really can't say enough good things about Power. He is the perfect companion, in my opinion. He loves nothing more in this world than being petted, tail constantly wagging. When you tell him he's a good boy, his tail wags even harder. He's totally potty trained, fine being alone as needed, knows sit/paw, walks beautifully on a leash, and loves other dogs. He is so so grateful for everything in life, and constantly brings a smile to my face. He is an adult dog past the puppy crazies, but with many more years of adventure to come. He loves to give kisses - his ideal human would not mind and would give them right back! Power has not spent much time in cars in his prior life, and is working on relaxing when going for rides. We have been practicing with peanut butter lick mats and know that with time he will learn that he doesn't need to bark to show his enthusiasm. That being said, he is a quiet gentleman in the home, so we are very optimistic he just needs some car-riding practice. If you are a loving guardian looking to open your home to a very deserving pup, Power could be the perfect fit. He would LOVE to meet you! -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained.
