Story
Kodak is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Kodak (Koko for short) is quick to steal your heart with his puppy eyes. He is a dog who loves the company of people for an overdose of pets and belly rubs, and will seemingly begin to melt into your hands when you're giving them to him. When it's time for some activity, Kodak loves a good walk. He especially loves to keep his nose to the ground to explore, and would love either a backyard or someone who will take him on long walks to take in all the smells. He seems completely potty trained as far as his foster can tell, and has not had any accidents in the house or his crate. When it's time for a walk, he goes and sits right at the door to wait. Kodak has no problem taking long naps in his crate and spending the night there, and only occasionally will whimper when he hears noises. ATTRIBUTES: Kodak has done well in foster with other dogs. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Story
Courtesy post...email Daniel at brown.danielalbert@gmail.com to meet Bjorn Pet's Name: Bjorn Breed: American Bulldog/Dogo Argentino mix Age: 6 years old Weight: 85 lbs Neutered: Yes Health Condition: Bjorn suffers from severe allergies that have impacted his overall well-being. Despite efforts such as allergy testing and various food changes, his condition has not improved. The veterinarian recommends specific medication and a raw diet to manage his allergies, but the owner, Daniel, is unable to afford these treatments due to financial constraints. As a result, Bjorn's quality of life has significantly diminished, and he is currently experiencing discomfort and suffering. Behavior and Temperament: Bjorn is a friendly, affectionate, and well-behaved dog. He is good with people of all ages, including children. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, displaying no signs of aggression throughout the 5 years and 3 months that Daniel has owned him. He is house trained and has learned a variety of commands and tricks, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. His favorite activity is playing fetch with his chuck-it ball. Additionally, he is not an excessive barker. Current Vaccination Status: Bjorn is up to date on his rabies vaccine, and he has received the full series of distemper vaccines in the past. Reason for Surrender: Daniel is surrendering Bjorn because of financial difficulties. Due to a significant cut in income, Daniel is unable to provide the necessary medical care and specialized diet that Bjorn requires to manage his allergies. Daniel is making this difficult decision out of love for Bjorn, not wanting to see him suffer any longer. Ideal Adopter: We are looking for a loving and responsible adopter who can provide the necessary medical care and support for Bjorn's allergies. Experience with allergy management in dogs, especially with a raw diet, would be beneficial. The ideal adopter should have the financial means to cover ongoing medical expenses and be committed to maintaining a high quality of life for Bjorn. Additional Information: Training: Knows commands such as sit, lay down, roll over, high five, stay, jump spin, crawl, and can be trained to pee and poo on command. Favorite Activity: Enjoys playing fetch with a chuck-it ball. Personality: Affectionate, friendly, and well-behaved. Contact Information for Adoption: If you are interested in adopting Bjorn and providing him with the care he needs, please contact Daniel at brown.danielalbert@gmail.com. Thank you for considering giving Bjorn a loving home and a chance at a better quality of life ***Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.March 2, 2024, 7:32 am

Story
Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.
