Story
Good Evening, My name Michelle King. Approximately 6 years ago, my husband and i adopted a boxer named Cheech from Mia Foundation. We have provided him with a loving home, however, with unexpected life changes we are unable to continue the care of Cheech and seeking for him to be rehomed. Cheech is a "Great" dog. He is loving, gentle, outgoing, smart, friendly with other pets (dogs and cats), friendly with children and adults, house trained, kennel boarding trained (GVK9 center-which he loves to attend and the staff loves him), and healthy. His paperwork at birth said he was born with water on the brain, however, No indication of such. Cheech has never had seizures. Med record proves such. He was born with a cleft, however, a successful surgery repaired 95% of the area. He has no issues eating. He loves to eat!!! Cheech is a Great dog! We are seeking a loving home for Cheech. He would do well with children and additional pets as he enjoys playing but any loving home will be great!

Story
Meet Hercules! Cat-Friendly Senior Alert!   Hercules is a stunning brindle Boxer, about 7 years young and 70 pounds of pure love. This sweet, goofy boy loves with his whole heart—and all he really wants is a soft bed and a human to share it with.   He’s your classic velcro dog, happily following you from room to room just to be near you. Hercules will melt your heart with his adorable little sighs and grunts when he’s content, and he’ll gently offer his paw when he wants a little extra love. Belly rubs? Mandatory. Snuggles? He’s an expert.     Cat-friendly superstar! Hercules has done wonderfully with his foster’s 17-year-old cat.   Dog compatibility: A bit of a mixed bag. He’s had both positive and reactive interactions, so he may do best as the only dog—but could potentially live with another calm pup with slow, proper introductions.   Energy level: Low to moderate. He enjoys leisurely 1–2 mile walks and walks nicely on leash.   Smart & food-motivated: He knows “sit” and “leave it” (with some selective hearing ). Be warned—if you leave his food bowl out, he will toss it around asking for seconds!   House manners: Fully house-trained and even taught himself to use a doggy doorbell—smart boy! He also figured out how to remove his own e-collar after surgery… so yes, he keeps you on your toes.   Travel buddy: Great in the car and absolutely loves rides.   Crate trained: Yes—with a little protest whining when you first leave (he just misses you!).   Hercules is ready to give his whole heart to someone special. Could that be you?   Applying is the first step to meet him - APPLICATION (See our Dog Adoption FAQs before applying) May 6, 2026, 3:31 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Mr. Lavender.🪻 Yes, like the flower. Soft, gentle, and emotionally complex. I’m what you’d call a very sensitive soul. I feel things deeply. For example, if I ever get scolded—even just a tiny “no, Lavender”—I will slowly and quietly walk to my crate to process the heartbreak. I’ll curl up, sigh dramatically, and reflect on how I have disappointed everyone I love. It’s a whole moment. But the good news is, I’m very forgiving. All it takes is a soft voice and gentle pets, and suddenly I remember that life is beautiful again. And speaking of pets… once you start petting me, you cannot stop. I will gently place myself closer. And closer. And closer. If you stop, I will politely remind you with my eyes. If that doesn’t work, I will lean my entire body into you like a weighted blanket with feelings. Physical affection is my love language, my hobby, my life. Cuddling is one of my greatest talents. I don’t just cuddle—I commit to cuddling. I will curl into you, rest my head on you, and stay there like it’s my full-time job. Personal space? Never heard of it. If you move, I move. If you sit, I sit. If you exist, I’m next to you. I also love people-watching. Give me a window, and I will sit there peacefully, observing the neighborhood like a quiet little philosopher. I don’t bark or judge—I just observe and think my gentle thoughts. Loud noises, however, are not my favorite. I prefer calm homes, soft voices, and peaceful environments where I can relax and feel safe. I’m not into chaos. I’m into comfort, love, and cozy vibes. I’m wonderful with kids and other dogs. I’m gentle, patient, and kind. I don’t want any trouble—I just want friends and a place where I belong. I have a very sweet heart, and once I trust you, I will love you with everything I have. I’m not the loudest or boldest dog. I’m the soft one. The gentle one. The one who will quietly sit beside you and make everything feel calm and warm. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, a professional cuddler, and a sweet soul who just wants to love and be loved… I’m the one. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
