She does best as the only pet in the home, but she’s great with children and thrives on human companionship.Her past hasn’t been kind. Nala came to the shelter emaciated, after spending much of her life locked in a crate, with painful urine-scalded feet and legs. Despite everything she endured, she never lost her gentle spirit or her desire to trust people. She’s had professional training, giving her a solid foundation, and she wants so badly to do the right thing.After waiting at the shelter for quite some time, Nala finally found a home — only to be returned recently due to her adopter experiencing serious health issues. Through no fault of her own, she’s back, confused and waiting again.Nala has already survived more than any dog should have to. What she needs now is stability, patience, and someone who will see past her muscles to the soft heart underneath.
