Story
Hi, I'm Nella. I'm a 4 year old Dogo Argentino. I am looking for a nice person or couple to adopt as my own. They need to have a large yard or live out of town so I can run, play, and exercise like I need in order to be happy and healthy. My current person lives in downtown Portland and is not able to let me run like I need. I am also not used to being in the city and commuting on a bus or train. My current person relies on public transit to get around. I am very loving and like to give a bunch of kisses. I am unaware of how much I weigh (80lbs) when I get excited and will jump to say hello. I hope to find a new person soon as I am ready to get back to exercising, running, and playing so I can live a happy, healthy life.

Story
The moment I met this dog, I immediately fell in love. Hondo Lane is one of those special dogs you don't come across often. He is so loving and loyal. Instantly felt comfortable with him and wanted to take him home. He really is a great well rounded dog that you don't want to miss out on. One of my favorite things about him is how gentle and respectful he is. Inside the house was very mindful of his surroundings and also would drop his toys every time you would approach and he was calm in the house. He also loves to give hugs which made my heart melt. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/S9YSM8Rmw2w?si=Youj_P_0mZfblux- Hondo Lane is a Pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 67 lbs. He's a big boy and we believe he is full grown! We do not expect him to get much bigger if at all. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We can guarantee that you'll be gaining a loyal companion by adopting Hondo. He is very dog friendly and loves to play and run around with his doggie friends. Hondo is also respectful to dogs that don't want to play, although he may give it a few attempts to try to play with them. After a few attempts at trying to get the other dogs to play with him, he just wondered around the yard, exploring with the rest of them until we brought out a playful dog for him to play with and then he was in heaven. He does has energy and will do best in a home with another moderately playful dog and in a home with a backyard. He would also do great with a family that likes to go on adventures. He is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only needs a few corrections here and there but he would make a great hiking or even running companion. Hondo seems to already have great house manners as well. He instantly knew when to settle down in the home and he was a very respectful young man in the house. He wasn't jumping all over the place or getting into things he wasn't suppose to be. He loved being on the couch and taking he kept taking his toys back to the couch to burry them in the pillows and he loved our super soft plushy pillow. It was like his favorite thing ever. I don't think he's ever felt something so soft before and he kept nuzzling his whole head into it and being so goofy. He also did this with plushy dog toys. So that might be a requirement for him. Must buy him plushy dog toys. Hondo has to much personality and he does the cutest little hops right before he gets his toys and it's adorable. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in his home. Hondo is treat motivated and very eager to please his humans which will help make any additional training that much easier. We are willing to test Hondo Lane with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
Egret is a beautiful white dog with a regal presence. His looks and demeanor let us believe he is a unique blend of Dogo Argentino and Rhodesian Ridgeback but with a rescue this is at best, an educated guess. No matter what breed make-up he is, Egret can be best be described as calm and collected. See Egret in action here https://youtu.be/9zBw-Yw-gKE This 4-year-old, 50 lb rescued boy has a sweet-natured soul and a heart full of love. A happy home life may gain him a few pounds but he is expected to settle in between 55-60 lbs, a great medium size. He has young dog energy in small bursts, and would benefit from being in a home with a yard that will allow him to explore and run around freely. Egrets sweetness makes him a perfect candidate for the role of a family dog, as he is great with kids! He is learning leash manners and knows a few basic tricks and we anticipate training will be easy as he is very responsive to treats and praise from his person. He is great with other dogs, of all sizes, offering an aloof personality to interactions, he will rarely be the one to initiate play but is happy to engage when prompted. This energy and style of play would be a great fit for a family with existing pets- a limited ability dog or one that has a more playful personality who will naturally initiate play. When meeting the rescues resident house cats, Egret was initially respectful but quickly became overly interested, so it would be best for him to be in a feline-free home. Egret is a true lover of the belly rub! He loves lounging around and enjoying moments of relaxation with his humans. Whether it's a quiet evening on the couch or playtime in the backyard, Egret will be a happy boy as long as he has a warm family to spend his days with. His current foster reports that he is both house and crate trained and we expect him to bring these skills to his new home but it is possible he will need your support as he transitions and adapts to a new space and routine. All of these wonderful qualities are wrapped up in an eye-catching, graceful and sleek physique with distinctive features. Truly a one-of-a-kind companion! Egret is in good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has been neutered. He has received wonderful care during his time in rescue and is ready to embark on a new chapter with a forever family. With Egret by your side, you'll experience the unconditional love and companionship that only a four-legged rescued friend can provide. Story
Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.
