Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

His former owner was a homeless and addicted to drugs. A fellow rescuer purchased him to get him out of the situation. He is good with other dogs. Story
Hi everyone, I’m Shelby! I’m a beautiful brindle boxer mix with the cutest underbite. My papers say I’m 5 years old, but I’m full of energy and spunk. I’m about 45 pounds and already spayed. I spent over a year in a shelter in West Virginia. I finally was able to come to Pennsylvania and I’ve been in my foster home for a few months now. I love my foster family, but I really want to find my forever home. I’ve been waiting for so long and my foster mom says I’m the best girl. I’m crate trained and mostly house trained. I’m great in the car so I’m the perfect co pilot. I get along with other dogs and love to run and play with them. I’d love to have a doggie friend in my forever home that I could play with. I’ve also tested well with cats. I’m good with kids too. I would reallllly love a fenced in yard to run in, I’m super duper fast! I can’t wait to find an active/energetic family of my own! ##1774486##

Story
Hi I’m Latte. I’m a year old spayed Boxer mix.  I love the dogs at my foster mom’s house and we play and wrestle with each other. I can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so if you have a dog and want to adopt me, a meet and greet is a must and slow introductions at home will go a long way to making sure we can be good friends.  I am energetic and cuddly. I do need some help working on my manners because I love to jump up and look you in the face. So my foster mom thinks I would do best in a home without small children.  But I am a Latte of fun (see what I did there?) and cuteness and will make your life a Latte better!   I am a good girl who has bouts of high energy to burn off but I also like to lay on the couch with you. I’m house trained and love chew toys and treats. I’m sure the right forever home is out there for me, could it be yours? ##1997023##

Story
Hi there! I'm a Boxer mix puppy who just made the journey from Kentucky to Pittsburgh in search of my forever family! At just 11 pounds, I may be small, but I've got a big heart full of adventure and love. I've been told I'm quite the explorer, always ready for a new adventure, yet I'm surprisingly calm and collected. My foster mom will even tell you how I am so brave that I never cry when sleeping in my crate and always get a good night sleep! I'm super affectionate and loyal. Once I bond with you, I'll stick by your side through thick and thin. I love nothing more than cuddling up and showering you with kisses.  If you're looking for a sweet and loving companion who's ready to bring endless joy into your life, then look no further! I can't wait to meet you and become your new best friend. Let's create countless happy memories together! ##2117892##

Story
Paris is an 8 month old with a spunky attitude. Paris has been in a foster home with 4 other dogs, cats and kids. She loves to wrestle and play with other dogs. She doesn't bother the cats but would need continued positive reinforcement training as she grows older with cats in any home. Paris loves to swim in her baby pool. Paris is crate-trained, housebroken, walks amazingly on the leash. Paris has been all over Shadyside meeting all sorts of new people and just enjoying life. Her favorite hobby is to play soccer with her foster mom. Paris loves meeting new dogs on leash and making friends with all the people along the trail too! Paris does have Mircoopthalmia that she was born with. That means her eye did not fully develop in utero but she has been seen by the vet and cleared, it would just be something to monitor as she ages and she may need eye drops for dry eye on the third eyelid.Hi and thank you for your interest in adopting from The Foster Farm! Please note that all applicants MUST live within the state of Pennsylvania -- no exceptions will be made.In order to help us process your application, please include as much detail and information as possible. Our adoption process is not first come first serve – we work extremely hard to meet the needs of every pet individually, and we do not base our matches on appearances (color, coat length, etc.). If you’re inquiring about our adoption process, please visit thefosterfarm.org/adopt for information, policies, and procedures. If you have submitted an application at thefosterfarm.org/adopt and received the confirmation email from Cognito Forms (your receipt will appear as a copy of the application you submitted), we are reviewing your application. If you are approved to adopt, you will receive an email approval within one week! Because our organization is run entirely by four volunteers each with full-time jobs, families, personal pets, and foster animals, we are only able to reach out to approved applicants. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!Stay healthy and safe! The Foster Farm Team

Story
Theo was found chained to an abandoned house. We do not know how long he was out there, or what he has endured, but he was extremely dehydrated and emaciated when found. Even bolt cutters struggled to cut the heavy chain around his neck. Despite all of this, he is kind and gentle. He is looking for a new family that is prepared to give him the time and understanding for him to come out of his shell. If you are interested in learning more about me or helping other dogs like me, please submit an application here: https://barkaboutit.org/apply/.
