Story
Cartel is a mix, mostly Boxer with a little Hound thrown in. He weighs @ 75lbs and he will be 2 years old this coming December Born !2/2024. Housetrained but he requires a fenced in yard as he is a large dog, he likes to run and play. We acquired Cartel when he was 8 months old. His original owner was a Autistic young man who had rescued him from an abusive environment. He is a very loving and gentle dog but he is scared of men until he gets to know them. He currently lives with our 5 other dogs. He is very social. His best friends are a small yorkie mix and a chihuahua both of whom he loves to run and play with. He is an absolutely wonderful dog with young children and babies. My 14 month old Grand loves him. He is extremely gentle, very loving He is microchipped, neutered and up to date on all shots. He knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, no). My husband ad I are seniors and Cartel is a wonderful dog but his energy level is too much for us at our age combined with our other pets.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Hay Dude Equine Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Texas. All of our dogs live in foster homes in TX and are transported to their new states once adopted. All adopters must be 21+. Applications can be found at haydudeequine.org. 🐾 Hi, I’m Byrdie! ❤️ I’m Byrdie, a 2-year-old brindle Staffy/Boxer mix, and I have a very important announcement to make: **I am a lover, NOT a fighter!** 🥰 I’m a gorgeous girl with a beautiful brindle coat, but my favorite thing about myself is my heart. I’m super sweet, silly, and absolutely love my people. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a minute and I’ll warm right up. Once I decide you’re my friend, prepare yourself for lots of love! I also really like other dogs and am great with my canine friends. I’m even good with horses, which is pretty impressive if I do say so myself! 🐴 Now, let’s talk about my hobbies. **I LOVE THE WATER!** 💦 And I REALLY, REALLY LOVE CAR RIDES! 🚗💨 Seriously, if you say the words “go for a ride,” I will be ready before you are. I’m pretty sure every car ride is an adventure waiting to happen. My rescue friends found me in the middle of a highway late one night, right in front of the rescue’s gate. I have no idea how I got there or where I came from, but apparently I knew exactly where I needed to be. ❤️ Now I’m hoping my next stop is **my forever home**. I’m looking for someone who wants a sweet, silly, affectionate girl to join them for adventures, car rides, water fun, and plenty of loving. I promise to be your best friend and make you laugh every single day. **I’m Byrdie—and I’m ready to fly straight into your heart.** 🐦❤️

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTION, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Mister was rescued from being chained to a fence with no protection from the elements. His former owner was a homeless and addicted to drugs. A fellow rescuer purchased him to get him out of the situation. He is good with other dogs. Loves his crate, toys, going for walks and going in the car. It takes him awhile to get settled into a home, so he needs a patient adopter.

Story
Auburn is a sweet young adult Boxer mix who is the perfect blend of independent and affectionate. Want a dog who can happily do her own thing? Auburn’s got you covered. Want a 50-pound lap dog who thinks she belongs in your arms? She’s happy to oblige! Auburn is fully house trained and can comfortably go 6+ hours before needing a potty break. She’s also an absolute dream on leash—you can walk her with just one finger on the leash! Talk about easy! She’s a wonderful, low-maintenance companion for someone looking for a dog who fits easily into everyday life. Auburn would ideally be happiest as the only dog in the home, although she has done well with dogs smaller than her. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing girl who can be both your independent sidekick and your personal cuddle buddy, Auburn may be your girl! Story
Meet Biggie! Biggie lives up to his name — he’s a big boy with an even bigger heart! At around 80lbs and 3 years old, this handsome guy is friendly with everyone he meets and always ready to make new friends. Biggie is a playful pup who loves his toys and bones, and he’d thrive in a home that will engage in training, walks, and playtime. While he’s very sweet with children, we’re recommending a home without small kids due to his size and enthusiasm. He’s completely house trained and does great whether crated or left uncrated — what a good boy! He has lived with other dogs before and done well, but slow, proper introductions are a must. Biggie has a bit too much interest in chasing cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal. Ready to meet your big-hearted best friend?

Story
🐾 Meet Maggie! 💕 Maggie is a sweet, affectionate 10-month-old Bulldog puppy who is looking for a loving family to call her own. She is incredibly loving and wants nothing more than to be part of the family. Whether she’s going for a walk, riding in the car, chewing on her favorite bone, or simply curled up next to you on the couch, Maggie loves being included in whatever you’re doing. She is a smart, happy, energetic girl who already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. She is completely potty trained and always lets you know when she needs to go outside. With her intelligence and willingness to please, she should be a wonderful dog to train with a family willing to give her the time and guidance she needs. Maggie loves children and enjoys meeting new people, so she would love a home where she can be surrounded by people and be part of the action. She also loves car rides and would make a great companion for a family who enjoys getting out and about. Because Maggie is strong and full of puppy energy, she needs a family who will give her plenty of walks, exercise, playtime, and activities. She has lots of love to give and will thrive with a family who can keep her engaged and help her continue to grow into the wonderful adult dog she is meant to be. Important: Maggie does not do well with small dogs and must be placed in a home without small dogs. This is an important requirement for her safety and well-being. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, smart, and loyal companion who wants to be right by your side, Maggie may be your girl! ❤️🐶

Story
Arya is a 3-year-old tricolor pittie (41 lbs) looking for an experienced single-pet home. She runs the full pittie range — couch snuggle-bug one minute, zoomy goofball the next. Affectionate, food-motivated, smart, and quick to warm up to people we welcome in.Crate trained, fully house trained, walks on leash (pulls some, redirects easily).Being upfront — she needs to be your only pet. Arya has chased a house cat with intent and another house dog with intent. She is NOT human-aggressive — no issues with our daughter or people we've introduced — but small and medium animals trigger a prey-drive response. Multi-pet homes or shared fencelines with off-leash neighbors aren't the right fit.Ideal home: single pet, adults or older kids, someone who reads dogs well and works with reactivity rather than punishing it, with a yard or daily energy outlet.Spayed, microchipped, shots current. Application + interview + meet — we want this to be her last home.
