WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org JAMIE - 1-Year-Old Mix Looking for His Forever Cowboy/Cowgirl Howdy, partner! I'm Jamie, and I've got a story to tell you. I didn't have the best start to life. I spent my early days in a garage with my siblings, pretty scared of the world and unsure about people. But then something magical happened: I met my foster dad, and he showed me that the world is actually AMAZING. These days? You'll find me rocking my cowboy hat at breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and just about anywhere my foster dad goes. I've discovered that I'm kind of a star. People love me, and honestly, I love them right back! I've come SO far from that scared puppy in the garage. Now I'm the guy who greets everyone with a wagging tail and makes friends wherever I go. Here's what you should know about me: I'm basically a 60-pound shadow who wants to be wherever you are. Couch time? I'm there for cuddles. Running errands? Let me grab my hat! Long hike? Count me in (but fair warning, you might catch me napping afterward with my tongue hanging out. It's my signature look). I've got that perfect mix of energy. I love a good play session with my stuffed pony or a game of fetch, but I'm also totally content just hanging out by your side. I'm a gentleman on leash, I know sit and stay, I'm house-trained, and I even know how to use the dog door. I'm crate-trained too, though I'd much rather be snuggled up next to you. I LOVE other dogs and enjoy playing with them, and here's something special about me: even when other dogs have been rude or aggressive toward me, I've never once snapped back. I just don't have a mean bone in my body. I'm great with kids, food-motivated (which means I'm super easy to train!), and I promise I won't destroy your toys. I just like to play with them. I'm looking for a home where I can be part of the family, ideally with someone who's home often or has a yard where I can hang out. I haven't been tested with cats, so that's a mystery we'd have to solve together. The bottom line? I went from a scared, unsocialized puppy to a confident, hat-wearing social butterfly who just wants to be your best friend. I've got so much love to give, and I'm ready to find my forever person to share adventures with. Ready to adopt a cowboy? Let's ride off into the sunset together! 🤠

Story
GOLDIE 2 – 3 years Attributes: Crate trained Housetrained Playful Single dog home Requires a fence Fence jumper Adult home only preferred Will potty on leash Good in car Medium energy Snuggly Goldie is a 3-year-old, 35-pound Beagle mix (with a little Boxer flair!) who’s full of personality, affection, and charm. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves being close to her people, Goldie might just be your perfect match. This sweet girl is incredibly people-friendly and thrives on attention. She’s happiest when she’s curled up beside you, soaking in chin and belly scratches—or better yet, snuggled up in bed for a cozy night’s sleep. Goldie truly loves her humans and forms strong bonds. Goldie has a medium energy level and is a smart gal – she knows some basic commands like “come,” “sit,” and “leave it,” and she would enjoy expanding her repertoire. She’s both house-trained and crate-trained, and goes into her crate on her own to relax. Like many dogs, she may whine or bark a bit when first left alone, but she settles in with time. Goldie does have a playful, mischievous side—she can’t resist the occasional slipper or cushion if left unsupervised, and she never says no to a good game of fetch! Because of her enthusiasm and strength, Goldie would do best in a home without small children or unsteady adults, and she would prefer to be the only canine resident in the home. Goldie has been known to test fences, dig, and even dash out an open door. She would be able to jump a 3 1/2-foot fence, so a tall, secure fence or a very strong tie-out will be needed. She would do well in either a house or an apartment, but in either case, she’ll need a vigilant home committed to keeping her safe and secure. The good news? Goldie is healthy, up to date on care, and ready to find her forever family. Goldie’s ideal home: -Adults or older, dog-savvy teens, or a single adult -Secure yard and attentive supervision -Someone patient and willing to continue her training -A home ready for lots of cuddles and companionship If you’re looking for a loving, snuggly, and spirited companion, Goldie is ready to fill your home with joy (and maybe a little bit of mischief, too!). NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Hi! I’m Fritz, a lively 3 year old boxer mix. I’m full of energy and ready to find a forever home where I can stretch my legs and fill my days with fun! As a playful and high energy pup, I thrive in an active environment. Whether it’s running around the yard, exploring new trails or embarking on walking adventures, I’m always down for a good time! I have a smart mind that matches my active body. I can zip through most of an agility course with ease, showing off my quick learning skills and physical agility. I’m looking for a home that can keep up with my energetic lifestyle and where I can be the only pet. I have lots of love to give and would fit best in a home without young kids, as my enthusiasm might be a bit much for little ones. With me around you will never have a dull moment… From morning jogs to evening training sessions I am your go to guy for all things active and fun! We are currently open Tue-Thursday by appointment only, and Fri/Sat 12-5 and Sun/Mon from 11-5. Facebook comments and questions are NOT monitored. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTION, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Mister was rescued from being chained to a fence with no protection from the elements. His former owner was a homeless and addicted to drugs. A fellow rescuer purchased him to get him out of the situation. He is good with other dogs. Loves his crate, toys, going for walks and going in the car. It takes him awhile to get settled into a home, so he needs a patient adopter.

Story
Rocky is young and will be 2 years old on July 31st. He sleeps at the bottom of my bed. He walks very good on leash and does listen to sit commands. I am only doing this because Rocky has attacked our 13 year old Boston Terrier on numerous occasions and he must go for the protection of the Boston. I am afraid that Rocky will eventually kill or seriously harm him. Rocky is up to date on his rabies vaccine and other shots. I listed him as not being neutered but to be clear he does not fit any category for that. The vet that I take my dogs to could not find any testicles in Rocky to remove. They did a scan of him and found nothing. The vet told us that although it is rare in his opinion Rocky was Born without testicles. One other negative about him is he is people shy but not aggressive toward them. He also is very afraid of children so I would recommend he go to a home without small children.

Story
Hi everyone...My name is REX and I am up for ADOPTION aka looking for my forever home through Cross Your Paws Rescue. I'm estimated to be 3 y.o. but my foster mom thinks I am younger. My foster mom did a DNA test and the results are a Heinz 57 mix... I have 22% american pit bull terrier, 17% Treewalker Coonhound,14% Grest Pyrenees, 7% Boxer...I arrived in PA on 10/19/25 weighing in at 47lbs... but I now weigh a healthy 53 lbs. - No accidents in my foster home.- I am super dog friendly and would love a permanent home with a puppy sibling (probably a sibling my size or larger would be best) to continue to show me the ropes. If thats not ideal then I would do great in a house where my family was home a lot with a fenced in yard. I do not require a lot of exercise but I am super happy to walk/hike/explore as well. I have great stamina.- My mom works night shift but so far I am happy to snuggle close and sleep without a peep during the day and night.- I do not like being in a crate away from my family I prefer to snuggle on the bed if allowed.- I love to be as close to my person as I can- I do not beg for food when you are eating but simply lay down at your feet.- I do not jump on anyone but my foster mom when she comes home. She is trying to help me learn that's not ideal even though Im so excited to see her. (My foster sister does it, so I think I should.)- I do not bite.- I did great visiting with a 11 y.o boy in the house and outside while he was running around me.  I am working on...- learning on my basic commands - (UPDATE- for some reason I do not like to sit on command, it appears to make me nervous).- learning no one (especially the men) wants to hurt me. (UPDATE- I love my foster dad and lay/sleep beside him, when mom is not home, but if he goes to pet my head I'm still scared)- learning car rides can be for fun things (UPDATE- I love going on rides but I require a seat belt to keep me inside when the windows are open)- learning the feral cats/wildlife are not allowed to be chased (UPDATE- when my mom tells me to leave it - I do not chase the outside cats)- learning on my recall... but my tree walker coonhound nose makes me want to get on a trail and not use my ears the best.  (UPDATE- I am working on off leash in my yard and on hikes and doing well!) We will continue to update Rex and all the good things he is learning... please SHARE to help him find his home! ##2546643##

Story
Meet Biggie! Biggie lives up to his name — he’s a big boy with an even bigger heart! At around 80lbs and 3 years old, this handsome guy is friendly with everyone he meets and always ready to make new friends. Biggie is a playful pup who loves his toys and bones, and he’d thrive in a home that will engage in training, walks, and playtime. While he’s very sweet with children, we’re recommending a home without small kids due to his size and enthusiasm. He’s completely house trained and does great whether crated or left uncrated — what a good boy! He has lived with other dogs before and done well, but slow, proper introductions are a must. Biggie has a bit too much interest in chasing cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal. Ready to meet your big-hearted best friend?

Meet Perdita (aka Perdi, Dita, Baby DeeDee). She doesn’t actually know her name, so she’s flexible 😂 Perdi has an amazing temperament. She’s been to numerous public outings around small kids and plenty of other dogs, she does great. We are thinking no cats for her! She’s a little too interested in small animals. She’s a total couch potato. But she’s also got a playful side and enjoys walks. She’s that perfect mix of chill and fun. She’s cuddly when she wants to be but also fine doing her own thing. She’ll snuggle up on the couch, or wander off to nap in another room. And she’s fantastic in a crate! She loves car rides and adventures. Could use some leash work but honestly most dogs can. She’ll play with toys here and there but isn’t really a destroyer. Perdi is just such an easygoing, lovable girl, and whoever ends up with her is seriously lucky. 💛

Meet Xena — the little warrior princess of love! 💖🐾 This sweet girl is overflowing with cuddles, kisses, and nonstop tail wags. Xena’s heart is as big as her smile, and she’s always ready to share it with anyone who gives her a moment of attention. She appears to get along great with other dogs, is playful, and is wonderful with kids — gentle, goofy, and full of joy. Xena is also the total package: she’s housebroken, crate trained, and she walks on a leash, though she does pull a bit and is still working on her leash skills. Whether she’s snuggling up for movie time or exploring the outdoors, Xena brings sunshine wherever she goes.
