Story
Buddy is a sweet and gentle giant. Although short, he is stout. We estimate he is about five years young and very vibrant and affectionate. He likes walks, but not hikes. He’s more of a couch potato. He is very strong, yet calm and easy to handle. He loves young children. Their attention makes him very happy! He can be dog selective as an unaltered male attacked him and injured his eye. It has completely healed and is not painful. His vision is lost in that eye but he still tracks so vets said he was fine to let heal and move forward. It’s part of his charm. He will cuddle on the couch, ride in the car, lay in your lap and sit well for treats. He will make a great companion. He needs a foster to grant him a safe place away from other dogs that don’t like his submissive nature. He is in SC and transport is available.

She would do best with a single person who's willing to put Kay up if company comes over. She is very loving & sweet with us and our staff, but has been selective with people once in a home. Kay is leash trained and house trained, doesn't mess up anything in the home.Adoption Fee: $75Requirements: Experienced & Patient dog person, Fenced yardAn adopter should expect it to take time for Kay to settle into a new home and routine, take things slow, don't have company over until a bond is established. We can help you with the process.  Kay is living in our boarding facility and does well with our staff ages 14 to 60 years old, males and females. Kay has never shown an aggression towards us. When she was adopted out previously, she did charge some family members.Kay's previous pet parents spent a lot of time with her, taught her many commands, and deeply loved them. Sadly, they fell on hard times, lost their home and surrenderd all 4 pets of their to CARE. Kay once lived with a doberman female and 2 senior cats. If interested in giving this sweet girl the forever home she deserves, apply today!  A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.caretoadopt.org Adoption saves lives! Meet Kylo!Adoption Fee: $75Kylo is super sweet, but can take a little time to warm up to a new person. Kylo loves attention, gets attached quickly, loves belly rubs and cuddles. We don't know how he is with other dogs or cats. Kylo was fine with 2 large dogs where he wandered up (he was around them for about 2 days). He is reactive at the boarding facility where he lives, however, that is not the best indicator. For this reason, it's best to find him a home as the only pet. Ever heard of a 'heart dog?' This boy is someone's heart and soul, loyal to the ends of the earth, ride or die. Kylo would be an excellent companion for someone who is looking for a friend for life. Please consider giving this beautiful boy a forever home. He will definitely steal your heart!
