I got my name because I was running amuck and I stopped to get a burrito out of the trash and that's how I was caught. The staff thinks that I am either deaf or very hard of hearing. I have been known to sleep like the dead, it can be a little alarming at first but if you gently tap the spot that I am lying on I wake up fairly easily. I am a super friendly dude who seems to get along with just about everyone I meet! I am vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized. Sadly, I have tested positive for heartworms, but please don't let that scare you away! Heartworm disease is very treatable and Lewisville Animal Services will pay for my treatment. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Keno was born around November 19th, 2011.  He is a male and weighed about 12 pounds in the pictures posted (mid-Feb). You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ranger really is a wonderful dog. His age is between 1-2 years old. He weighs about 55-60lbs. The foster family has an 8 year old son and a 2 year old daughter and he is not aggressive at all, though they would recommend him to be in a home without smaller children because he is very active. Ranger is good with cats. He sometimes is curious about them but that's about it. He is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm negative and on heart worm preventative. He is very smart and knows basic commands (sit, lay, stay and come). He is working on leash training and is house broken. He loves going to the dog park and going for long walks. He would make a great jogging partner or companion for a bigger dog that wants a playmate to play tag. He is current on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Diego has a great demenor, (such a sweetheart) and loves playing with other dogs. He walks well on a leash. He is very smart and is a people pleaser.
