Story
Kona is a 7 year old pitty boxer mix with a sweet little crooked piggy tail! She is about 40 pounds of cuddly love. She was adopted as a young pup from a shelter in Sunnyvale, TX, where she had some injuries to her tail and back leg. Thankfully, both are all healed up now, but they still have a unique look! She is up to date on all vaccines and is microchipped. Konaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s energy level fluctuates between zoomies in the backyard and passed out on the couch, and not much in between! Her biggest excitement comes from seeing the people she loves, but her favorite place is on the couch with some comfy blankets, where she would spend most of the day if she could. Add a chew toy, and she would be in heaven! She likes other dogs after a warming up period and has been living happily with another dog. She adores her humans too, but she might need a little time to get over her shyness. She would be happiest in a home without cats or small children. While she would love to have an owner who works from home to keep her company while she naps on the couch all day, she is crate trained and is currently sleeping in her crate at night (though she would love to take up space on someoneâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s bed!). She loves end of day snuggles laying between your legs on a blanket and watching tv. She is food motivated and knows the word â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 as well as her name. Kona is quite a homebody and not the biggest fan of walks, but if it means making you happy, she will go! She is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Kona has become very stressed in a home with a baby, and would prefer to be the baby of the house herself. While she has some mild seasonal allergies, her chronic stress has taken a toll on her skin â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and while she acclimates to a more calm environment, she may need some special skincare! This sweet, goofy girl has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can relax and curl up on the couch in peace! If you think she would be a good fit in your home, apply to adopt Kona today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Kona, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Sharae Jo aka Dora the explorer. She is 9 months, weighing 28 lbs., boxer mix with a vibrant fawn coat. Sharae was rescued under a church with her five siblings and her mother at just a few weeks old. Sharae is a very energetic, loving and a very independent pup who loves to explore all of her surroundings. Sharae is very shy with other dogs, but warms up once getting to know them. She has not been around cats. She currently resides with her mom, two siblings and a Lab. Sharae loves water especially playing in her puppy pool. She is one smart pup! She loves a good car ride and loves the outdoors. An ideal home for Sharae would be one that is safe and comfortable where she will receive plenty of love, affection and training. Because she is a pup, would love to put her in an environment with a family that has children, if possible.l, but not required. Sharae is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, she does not potty inside, as she will bark to inform you when she needs to go. Sharae will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Sharae has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. She is microchipped and will be spayed on 06/17/2025. Reason for rehoming: Sharae is currently under temporary care by her rescue family who are unable to keep her permanently. This happy-go-lucky pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
