Story
Ruby is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet! She's 7 years old, AKC registered, highly trained and well behaved. Loves camping and water. She just had her annual wellness exam and is in excellent health ( I can provide a Vet evaluation). She has only been fed high quality food with glucosamine (for her joints) her whole life. Her best friends are cats! She's good with most dogs and has stadard and toy poodle playmates, but it's really a case by case type thing. She did not do well in daycare settings, too overstimulating. She loves kids and people of all kinds. This is the hardest decision I've had to make.. I lost my job in late 2024 and have had to take a lower paying one that keeps me from home too often. My kids are grown and moved out so she's home alone a lot. She deserves so much better than I'm able to give her now. I'm looking for a family with kids and a yard or an active adult that can commit to daily enrichment activities to give her the quality of life she deserves.

Welcome Barron to CCPAL Rescue. Barron is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Barron is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Barron would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. He would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Barron’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. He should be 60 pounds full grown. He likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. He will go on a potty pad. He is good with other dogs bigger than himself. His dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. He energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. He has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. He has longer hair a little more like the GP momma. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. He is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers.
