Story
Adult Male (~2 years):Shrimp is about 2 years old and fully vetted (flea treated, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for fvrcp) so he’ll be available for adoption on 2/18. This fluffy boy is the definition of a lap cat. He is such a sweetheart and absolutely adores attention, especially pets and cuddles. His favorite place to be is on your lap or by your side (if your lap isn’t available) and his favorite activities are cuddling and making biscuits. He’s likes to play with toy mice but he’s not super into playing with toys. He’s chill little guy and is definitely more of a “hangout with his humans” kind of cat. He loves people do he’s be very happy as a single cat, but he’s very cat-friendly so if you already have some kitties at home, he’d be just as happy with some siblings! Due to growing up on the streets, he’s a bit sneezy due to scar tissue in his nose from a past injury and he is FIV+ which means he has a weaker immune system than the average cat but that’s all it means. Neither condition affect his overall health or lifespan. As long as he’s an indoor only kitty (to prevent him from catching any viruses or infections), he’s just as healthy as any other cat! Note: This is a courtesy posting for rescuer Ciana.  The kittens/cats are not part of LB Spay & Neuter Adoptable Rescues. Please email ciana.fosterkittens@gmail.comMay 6, 2024, 1:54 pm

Story
Hello there! Cutie pie Moxie, here...pleased to meet you! I am a SUPER playful kitty, just under a year old. I am in need of a quiet, patient, home. I was trapped with the intention of being TNR'd, but I showed promise of being friendly, and the lady decided to work with me on becoming a house cat, as that is a much better life for a kitty. I allow pets and scratches while I get my Churu treats, and a little bit afterwards, I am getting better and better, but I am skittish on the whole. I do love love love love to play with wand toys...any toys, really, and sometimes allow pets while playing with the wand toy, too. I get along well with my roomies Tabby and Percy, and would love to go home with one (or both!) of them. I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped...ready to fin a forever home! Are you a kind and patient person who is willing to give me a chance?May 6, 2024, 1:54 pm

Story
Meet the cutest 10 week old siblings Jack and Jill!  We are a wonderful pair who need a loving, forever home.  We were living on the street and a nice lady rescued us)l. We are an incredibly sweet pair of kitties.  We love pats, cuddles, and sitting on our foster Mom’s lap.  We also are very playful and have so much fun with a wand toy and playing with together. Churu treats are simply the yummiest, so I hope you have a lot of those! We have a great purr and the softest silkiest fur.  We definitely are Maincoon mixes.  We have been vaccinations, dewormed, defleaded and will be fixed prior to  adoption, and microchipped...I mean, what more could you want? We would love to go to be adopted together as we are quite inseparable.  We sleep play and wash each other.  We think we would do well with older kids, as loud noises and sudden actions still scare us. We are also scared of dogs but sure we can adjust in time if the dog is calm and doesn’t chase us.   They are ready for adoption.   They have been neutered, defleaded, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped.   If you are interested in meeting these loves please email us for an application to email adoptions@lbsn.org to request an application. Once we receive your application back, we can set up a time for you to meet them. A donation of $300 is required to adopt him.   May 6, 2024, 1:54 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Angelique.  My 3 littermates and I were rescued from the street in Seal Beach when we were about 2 months old.  We were all very scared as we hadn’t been around people before. At first, we were considered feral, but we were sent to a foster home and calmed down quite a bit.  My foster home had other kittens, big cats, and dogs. I loved the big cats and was fine with the kittens but the dogs scared me. I don't welcome pets or being picked up. I am a shy girl and get scared easily so I need a quiet forever home with another cat or kitten and a family who has lots of patience and will give me plenty of time to adjust to a new environment. Story
Hi, I’m Annie. I was rescued from the Seal Beach Jetty along with my friend Mercedes way back in 2015.  We both went to a foster home for a couple of months and slowly learned to trust humans. Then we came back to  SBACC and after a while, we were both adopted by a volunteer.  Sadly, Mercedes crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a while ago and I lost my home because my adopter couldn't interact with me.  I am very shy and don't allow petting or handling. I'm comfortable here and wouldn’t mind living out my senior years where I'm loved and cared for by a wonderful team of volunteers and staff.  Maybe if the right person came along, I could adjust to a new home, but after all this time at SBACC, it feels like home.May 11, 2024, 6:51 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Jiji. I originally came to SBACC as a two-month-old kitten and was adopted about two months later.  My adopters were a young couple with one other cat.  The other cat and I were OK together but never became buddies.  Then a new baby arrived and it just didn’t go well.  My Mom and Dad tried hard to make it work but finally decided to bring me back to SBACC. I was really scared and very unhappy and had a hard time trusting new people but I’m finally starting to adjust.  I’m a big fluffy girl with soft black fur and a white triangle on my chest. I’m sassy and smart and can be lovable once I get to know you. I enjoy being petted and brushed if you do it very gently.  My favorites are neck, cheek, and chest scratches.  I like when people talk to me softly or even when they sing. Sometimes I will talk back. I’m a big girl but I have a tiny little meow.  I enjoy the laser and other toys.  I think I would do best in a quiet home without any little children. Louie is extremely lovable, curious, and enjoys cuddles. Due to other cats in our neighborhood and dogs in our house he needs to be relocated. He would love a home where he is the only pet so that he can have all the attention.

Story
POPCORN IS AVAILABLE AS A PERMANENT FOSTER - ALL COSTS PAID BY AALOC Popcorn, a beautiful, female, long-haired cat, was surrendered several years ago by a female truck driver of some notoriety: her previous owner purchased a painting at a garage sale for $5.00 and it is thought to be an original Jackson Pollock. Even with her interesting history, unfortunately Popcorn has never been adopted and now she has lymphoma. She desperately needs a quiet home and someone special to love her. Popcorn is a bit shy but she is very gentle. She used to have very long fur and a big fluffy tail. If you think of the color of a Dreamsicle - a creamy, dreamy orange - you almost envision the color of Popcorn's coat. Popcorn recently started over grooming causing her to vomit so her luxurious coat has been shaved and she now looks like a little lion. Keeping her fur short is important for her health so she will need regular grooming. Popcorn will also need maintenance medication and regular vet visits to keep her in her best shape. As a permanent foster you would be responsible for loving and caring for Popcorn, taking her to her vet appointments and making sure she receives her medications and is comfortable. AALOC would pay for all of Popcorn's vet visits, grooming, food and medications. We also need a medical sponsor to help pay for Popcorn's veterinarian care. To donate to Popcorn's medical expenses and medication, please visit www.AALOC.org/donate, or for additional information regarding becoming Popcorn's medical sponsor email us at AALOC@AALOC.org. Please submit an application to foster Popcorn. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Popcorn and get to know her a bit. For more information on fostering visit our website at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org, or by phone at (714) 893-4393.

I am a super sweet kitty, I love pats, cuddles, and sitting in your lap. I am also very playful and have so much fun with a wand toy and playing with Tabby and Moxie. Churu treats are simply the yummiest, so I hope you have a lot of those! I have a great purr and the softest fur.   I definitely am a Maincoon mix. I am about 2 years old, up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, FIV and Felv negative, and microchipped...I mean, what more could you want? I would love to go to a home with a kitty friend, or better yet with Tabby or Moxie (or both!) I think I would do well with kids, as I did well with a 2 year old and 7 year old when I was initially rapped and in a cage. Now that I roam freely, I hide when the kids come in. But I think if I were able to get used to them I would be fine. I have not been introduced to dogs yet. I am a beautiful, loving, playful, kitty and I would love to have you as my family. Percy has been neutered, defleaded, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a dental cleaning when he was neutered.   If you are interested in meeting this sweet fella please email us for an application to email adoptions@lbsn.org to request an application. Once we receive your application back, we can set up a time for you to meet him. A donation of $175 is required to adopt him.   May 6, 2024, 1:54 pm

Story
Look no further, you've found me, your ideal kitty! My name is Tabby, and I am a big, mushy, love. I was out on the street for at least 11 months before the lady who was feeding me finally trapped me. I am a big boy who loves attention. I enjoy getting pats and love being brushed. Although I'm not much of a lap cat, I love to sit right beside you and get loves. I am playful, I love wand toys, and playing with my kitty friends. The way to my heart is through Churu treats, which I believe, are the best things on Earth. I get along well with my two kitty friends, Percy and Moxie. I am a healthy boy, FIV and Felv negative, am up to date on my vaccinations, am neutered, and have a microchip. My age is estimated at 3 years old. When I was first caught, my foster kept me in a comfy cage while I was healing from my surgery and acclimating to the other two kitties caught at the same time. While in the cage I was really good with her two kids, 2 and 7 years old...I would let them give me treats and everything. Now that I'm out of the cage, I hide when they come in the room...so I think I would be fine with kids, but just would have to get used to them. As for dogs, I have not been introduced to them yet. I would love a home with a kitty friend, better yet, adopt my friend Percy or Moxie...or all three of us!!! I hope to meet you soon, forever family! Tabs has been neutered, defleaded, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a dental cleaning when he was neutered.   If you are interested in meeting this sweet fella please email us for an application to email adoptions@lbsn.org to request an application. Once we receive your application back, we can set up a time for you to meet him. A donation of $175 is required to adopt him. If adoption and his darling brother/buddy (Percy) together we do both for $275.   May 6, 2024, 1:54 pm
