Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Vito a 5 year old fluffy boy who loves to be brushed. He LOVES affection and is starting to play and roll over on his back to lounge, which is great. He would do great in a home with someone who is retired or works from home and wants a lap cat work buddy. He really is a great cat but needs a LOT of patience and a quiet, peaceful home. He loves his foster Dad a little more than his foster Mom. So he seems to favor gentle Men. But he also does great with his foster Mom. No high pitched or loud voices either, he has a lot of trauma to overcome. Vito was rescued after being abused in his last home.  For this reason he is very sensitive so he needs a home with No other animals, and no kids. Vito needs to be crated when alone; he gets VERY stressed with separation anxiety so he will destroy a room if left alone.  It’s also best to crate him when feeding. Then come out & after a few hours of play time,  leave him be so he will use the litter box; he will not use the litter box if anyone is in the room. If you feel you could give Vito the peaceful home he deserves & would love to brush a silky long hair cat who will snuggle you, once he settles in & feels safe, then please apply at www.dreamar.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2026, 2:16 pm

Meet Stella: Your Future One-and-Only Age: Approximately 2 Years Vibe: Professional Snuggler & Independent Queen Are you looking for a shadow, a confidante, and a master of the "slow blink"? Meet Stella, a soulful two-year-old who is ready to retire from the hustle and bustle of shelter life and settle into her forever kingdom. Why Stella is Special Stella is the definition of a "people person." While some cats are aloof, Stella thrives on human connection. She is remarkably sweet and has mastered the art of the head-butt. If you’re looking for a companion to binge-watch shows with or someone to listen to your workday vent sessions, she’s your girl. Her Perfect Match Stella has a big heart, but she isn't interested in sharing the spotlight. She has a "no roommates" policy when it comes to other felines. She finds the presence of other cats a bit stressful and much prefers the quiet, focused devotion of her human family. The ideal home for Stella would be: A Single-Pet Household: Where she can be the undisputed center of your universe. A Calm Environment: She loves a predictable routine where she can truly shine. Someone Ready for Love: She has plenty of affection saved up and is just waiting for the right person to claim it. If you have a cat-free home and a Stella-sized hole in your heart, come meet this lovely girl. She’s not just a "hard to adopt" kitty; she’s a hidden gem waiting for the right person to see her sparkle. LOCATION:  Foster Home taking a break from our adoption center but will be back at the Aliso Viejo Petsmart soon Visit http://greatpets.org/cat-adoption-application for an online application Stella's $175 adoption fee includes her vet exam while in our care, felv/fiv test, fecal, spay surgery, microchip, flea treatment, and current vaccinations (age appropriate).June 7, 2026, 9:27 pm

Story
I know, and I'm not trying to brag here, nope. I hear it all the time. I am Casper, and I am the most beautiful cat you have ever seen, right? The white fur and the black highlights? And the fluff? Yes, my coat is beautiful. I might be “stunning.”People say I am dignified, resilient, gentle and vulnerable in all the right ways. I am special and manageable, but I will take some time. Can you give it?I think I am about 6 years old. I am looking for a special, calm furever home. Is it you? An emotionally intelligent, patient human would be great for me. I lived in a semi-truck depot in Long Beach on the gravel.I have a permanent head tilt from an old inner ear infection that went untreated before I was rescued. The infection is gone now, and my doctors say I’ve come a long way. My head tilt and quirky eye positioning are simply part of who I am these days. When I get stressed, I may circle to the right because of the neurological damage from “yesterday.”I’ve had an MRI and a CT and the infection is gone, since my mom, who made those happen, treated me for several months. There’s nothing else to do here. My blood work and teeth are good! I am also FIV+, but we all know that is just not a thing. I have never bitten a cat, and do not intend to start. :) I am a perfect gentleman. I am great with other cats. I am very obedient, and I like to lounge between the plants in the indoor patio or on a chair. I have come SOOOO far in five months. So far. I use the litter box perfectly, and the scratching post. I like small toys. I crave wet food and I like dry food, too…I mean, from where I came from, this is the Ritz. I’ll stand in the hall at 5:30 p.m. to remind you that it’s time for my favorite canned dinner! Then I’ll turn and scurry SOOOO fast, well, like Road Runner, back to my “place.”I would be best with one experienced cat person who continues to help me earn human trust. I like a routine. Children would not be good because of my near vision issues. Don’t come too close to my face too quickly, or I will not like that. Move gently, and know that I do not want to be touched or held right now, but that will come. Please don’t try until we are both sure.I want my own person or couple. I am used to being in a home now, and I will be such a good boy.

Story
My name is Dolly and sadly, my 89 year old owner is no longer able to care for me. I've adjusted well to my foster home and am looking forward to finding my forever home. I've never lived with another cat, dog, or children so I think a quiet adult only home would be best. I am a good companion to my foster mom and I follow her around the house and sleep nearby, especially when she's in her home office. I'm a quiet cat although I do 'talk' when I have to remind my mom about something. We have our routines and in the evening I sit beside her on the couch. I love to be brushed and have my back scratched and my tummy rubbed. Once in awhile, when it's cold and she has a cuddly blanket on her lap, I will sit on her lap. When other people come to visit, I like it best if I have a secluded place to sleep; I'll visit with them when I'm ready. I love to look out the windows and when my foster mom brings out the laser light I play with her. I hope someone will read this & think I'm the perfect cat for them! (NOTE: A portion of Dolly's adoption fee has been donated by one of our generous supporters) Dolly is a such a beautiful and loving girl! Please come see Dolly and the other cats that are available at the PetSmart store in The District Shopping Center in Tustin (2237 Park Avenue). Adoptions are by appointment and on Saturdays from 1-4pm. You can get pre-approved for your adoption! Visit our website and submit your application online: http://www.oc-arc.com/adoptions/how-to-adopt/ When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $200 (kittens 6 months and younger) or $175 (all kittens and cats over 6 months of age). Each of our cats and kittens has been: - Microchipped - Spayed or neutered - Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) - Tested for FIV (Feline Aids) - De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage) - De-wormed (tape and round worms) - Given their first FVRCP vaccination: We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series. - Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, a greater adoption donation is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.
