Story
Meet the adorable Froggy! He started his life on the streets, but it took him about 30 minutes to decide that a life indoors, with lots of love, was right for him. Froggy is obsessed with playing fetch and loves to wrestle with kitty playmates. He is super gentle with his human friends and doesn't mind being picked up. He will never turn down pets or love and usually starts purring before contact is even made! Even though he is a kitten with kitten level energy, Froggy is known to flop down next to his people on the couch or bed for cuddles. He can be a little shy at first with strangers, but he likes pets too much to stay away for long. Froggy is going to bring so much love and joy to his forever family. Apply to adopt him today at www.tenthlifecats.org/adopt!

Story
This is Bubbles. We believe that she is a 12 year old Domestic Longhair cat. Bubbles came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on February 28th, 2023.. She was originally adopted from Judy's as a kitten and then surrendered to a local shelter because the owner could not afford to care for her any longer. Since she has been in care, staff members say that she is a strong, independent gal who loves attention but is also happy hanging out on her own. She coexists with cats but isn't the type to snuggle with another cat. She solicits attention and is tolerant of handling otherwise but may do best in a home without young children Bubbles is diabetic and will need insulin shots twice a day. She is very good for her injections. She also eats prescription food to help keep her insulin levels where they need to be. She is also on Solensia, a monthly injection for osteoarthritis. Her adoption fee is $50. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, spay, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. She also received a dental cleaning and senior bloodwork panel in the last year. Learn about our adoption process here: https://judysforgottenjewells.com/adoption-process Any Questions? Story
Tink actually found us when she showed up in our garage half starved. It was apparent that she used to be someone's pet but was now lost or abandoned and now starving. We took her in and she adjusted well to her new home, getting along with the other two cats. She even got along with our elderly lab. However, despite all our attempts at making them friends, she still has not warmed up to our young Blue Heeler. She won't stop running away from him and his instinct is to chase. We just are afraid she's going to get hurt. Tink loves people, needs lots of petting, and is very mellow (unless she wants atttention and then you will be notified!). She also loves to play! She does require brushing as her long hair will knot otherwise. (Brushing her is tricky and treats or good food is needed to keep her in one place). She also loves to sleep with her people. She is a very sweet and beautiful cat. She just needs a home with no dogs and people who will give her lots of attention.

Story
Meet the sweetest boy Twig! Twig was surrendered to GPG because his caregiver was overwhelmed. He is older, about 14 years old and his life has been marked by chronic illness. You see, Twig is what we call a "chronic snuffler." This is a cat who is affected by chronic rhinitis and sinusitis (respiratory and sinus infections). This can occur early in life due to infectious disease, but as chronic changes (scar tissue) develops, the nasal anatomy changes and predisposes these creatures to chronic snuffling/sneezing. His symptoms can wax and wane, but Twig usually has some degree of sneezing, nasal discharge, and noisy breathing sounds, (this would be comparable to a person with a deviated septum due to chronic sinus infections). We are having some success managing his symptoms with medication, but the expectation is that he will need to be managed forever, never cured. Twig has personality-plus and despite his hardship, his spirits are never down! We'd love to give this guy a golden parachute into a loving hospice like home for whatever amount of time he has left. As of right now our testing indicates that Twig isn't chronically shedding infectious disease, but it's still prudent that he be the only cat, (or kept separate from other cats that aren't already chronic snufflers). If your home may fit this profile, please put in an adoption application today! All of our dogs and cats will be microchipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations at the time of adoption.
