Story
Personality:Veni is a stunning 10-year-old longhaired gentleman with a striking white and black coat. He’s friendly and enjoys companionship, but he does have clear boundaries on what he’s comfortable with. Veni appreciates his space and will let you know when he’s had enough attention, so he’s best suited for a person who respects his cues and enjoys a more independent feline companion. Though he may be a bit particular, once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll happily enjoy your company on his terms.Good With:Veni has always been an only pet and has lived his entire life as the sole focus of his elderly owner’s attention. As such, he would do best in a home where he can remain the center of attention. While he enjoys human companionship, he may not be the ideal match for a household with other pets, especially if they’re overly energetic or pushy. A calm, quiet environment where Veni can maintain control of his space would suit him perfectly. Background:Veni was surrendered to our rescue when his elderly owner moved into assisted living and could no longer care for him. He’s had a peaceful life and is now looking for a new, understanding family that will respect his boundaries and allow him to live at his own pace. Veni is a bit of a refined gentleman who appreciates a bit of solitude but is still eager for affection when it’s on his terms.Special Notes:Veni’s ideal home is one with an experienced cat owner who understands that he may need some time to adjust and set the rules of his space. He’s a beautiful, sweet boy who, once comfortable, can be a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a laid-back cat who knows what he likes, Veni could be your perfect match. If you’re ready to offer this handsome fellow a peaceful, loving home, come meet Veni today! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Courtesy Post! Sammy lives with Phoena. She's a friendly girl. Unfortunately the dogs like to play too rough and the cats are not happy in the home. They are inside cats but currently can go outside at times. Looking for an indoor home for one or both.

Story
Meet Winifred — or Winnie for short 💕Winnie is a sweet, long-haired calico with the softest expression and an even softer heart. During a brutal cold snap, she was found desperately trying to get into someone’s home just to stay warm. She was emaciated, sick, injured, and clearly had been struggling for quite some time. Despite everything she’s been through, Winnie has shown nothing but gentleness and quiet trust. She is now safe in a loving foster home, where she’s finally warm, fed, and receiving the care she so badly needed. Each day, Winnie is gaining strength, healing, and letting her personality peek through. She’s a calm, sweet soul who seems grateful for every kindness and gentle touch.Winnie still has some healing to do, but we are hopeful that with continued care she will soon be healthy, spayed, and ready to find her forever home. We believe there is a special person out there who will see her not for where she’s been, but for the loving companion she’s becoming. If you have room in your heart for a resilient little survivor who just wants safety, warmth, and love, keep Winnie in mind. Her best days are still ahead 🐾💗If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Story
🐾 Meet Charliee! 🐾 Charliee is a loving black/white adult female who is looking for a new forever home through no fault of her own. She was surrendered due to a boyfriend’s allergies, and now this sweet girl is hoping for another chance at a stable, loving home. Her ears look a little different because she had surgery as a kitten, which only adds to her unique charm and character. Charliee is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being loved on, though she will need a little time to adjust to a new environment as she settles in and feels safe again. With patience and kindness, Charliee’s loving personality truly shines. She would do best with someone who understands that transitions can be hard and is willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs. In return, she will reward you with loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of love. 👉 Apply to meet Charliee at: https://dcsfelinefixers.com/adoption-application/ 🐾
