Story
Hi new friends, my name is Sebastian. I am looking for either a foster home or a foster-to-adopt home. You see, I am overweight, weighing in at 33.5 pounds and I need help to get down to a healthy weight in a healthy way. Please don't say negative things about my previous owners; let's keep the focus on helping me to find the next chapter in my life. So, you should know that I am the world's nicest boy. The humans will tell you how sweet I am and how much they enjoy their time with me. I LOVE chin scratchies and I will purr the entire time you are petting me. I also love catnip toys! The humans make sure I have time out of my kennel to exercise a little bit and chase after them. As far as the type of home I need, the super smart vet people at MHS believe it will take over a year to get me to an ideal weight safely, so I will need a committed foster (or foster-to-adopter) that will stick to a strict diet plan and weight re-checks. It will be best for me to have weekly re-checks until we have figured out and established a weight loss rate. My MHS friends will be there to help guide you in how to help me! A relatively calm home environment would be nice for me. I have lived with big dog friends before but they were a bit too rough with me; if you have dogs, or other furry friends or kiddos for that matter, I would really prefer it if they were chill and cool like I am. I'm an easy-going guy! I have such an endearing personality. Everyone who has met me was obsessed immediately. If I had a nickel for every time I was told I was "such a good boy," I would have a whole lotta nickels! To foster me, please fill out the application here: www.michianapets.org/fostering. If you are interested in fostering and then adopting me, please stop by MHS to meet me. I am about five years old and I'm neutered. Please ask to see me when you arrive. Love, Sebastian.

MISHA & FARRAH Please read the adoption bio thoroughly. If you apply, please check your email (AND your spam) for our reply. The application link is near the end of this bio. SPECIFCS Bonded Pair 10 years old, purebred, silver shaded Persian, spayed, 10 pounds, blue eyes, with claws 10 years old, purebred, seal point Himalayan, spayed, 10 pounds, blue eyes, with claws Cat friendly: possibly, with certain temperaments described below. Dog friendly: No Kid friendly: Yes Special needs: none GETTING TO KNOW US They are lovely, bonded pair of golden girls with matching light crystal blue eyes. Misha and Farrah joined PurrHarmony together and it became very evident that they do life better together. The girls get thick, sheep-like, bushy coats and look super cute like stuffed animals! Have you seen a more darling mature pair! The girls might be a bit cautious upon first meeting but once comfy they both thoroughly enjoy being part of a family. Farrah, does a great elevator butt, hops on your lap and enjoys being held with her paws over your shoulder. Misha prefers to lay next to you and be pet or be carried around in her donut bed and placed next to you like a princess and told how pretty she is. Neither girl is playful but will saunter around plunking themselves down for a long nap as it suits them. The girls will do best in a home with no dogs. Older, quiet respectful children and possibly would do well with a cat or two that would match their energy and respect their need for personal space. They are quiet girls who would flourish in quieter home that is cat savvy and patient. These girls would do great as the only pets in the home as well. Being Persian/Himalayan they will need regular grooming and the usual daily eye cleaning. Breathing is not an issue for either girl. You must be well versed in daily upkeep with combing to maintain their coats. Trimming nails isn’t a problem once they trust you and you take your time and are patient. They are picky about having their litter box kept clean. They must have large, open top litter boxes, with unscented scoopable litter. They currently have their boxes scooped two times per day, every three to four weeks the litter is changed out. To maintain their good health, they currently eat wet food that is schedule fed at breakfast and dinner. They have a stainless-steel water fountain for continuous clean water. They like horizontal and vertical scratchers. Starting out in a room as basecamp with introductions and access to the home should be at a speed acceptable and safe to the girls and other pets in the home. VETTING PROVIDED Spayed, vaccinated (FVRCP/rabies,) tested negative for FIV/FeLV/heartworm, dental cleaning, bloodwork (CBC, chemistry, T4,) urinalysis, fecal, microchipped, dewormed LOCATION AND ADOPTION Fostered in Valparaiso, Indiana (approx. 45minutes form Chicago, Il and SW Michigan, 2hrs from S Wisconsin). Adoption fee for the bonded pair is $400.00 PurrHarmony, Inc. does not transport or ship cats. We welcome long-distance adopters. Adopters must travel to the foster home or nearest airport (at the discretion of the foster parent.)
