Meet River: The Sweet and Shy Feline! Hello! I’m River, a soft and sweet girl who may be a bit shy at first, but I have so much love to give once I feel safe. I need my own little hidey hole—a cozy spot where I can retreat when things get overwhelming. It helps me feel secure, and I promise I’ll come out when I’m ready! I absolutely LOVE to scratch on my cat trees, so it’s important to have plenty of scratching posts and cardboard scratchers around. They’re my happy place! I also enjoy gentle brushing with a soft bristle brush; it feels wonderful! I have a few special needs to keep in mind. I require a low-sided litter box all to myself—I don’t like to share! I’m a bit particular about my potty habits, so I prefer to perch on the sides to keep my feet clean. I have sensitivities to chicken, turkey, and peas, which means I can’t have any of those in my diet. It’s really important to check labels because if I eat something I shouldn’t, I might get sick. I’m currently on a strict canned food-only diet to help manage my Feline IBD. I do enjoy the company of other cats and can be quite affectionate once I know I’m safe. Meet Douglas, the spirited kitten who brings joy and adventure to every room he enters. Energetic and playful, he's always ready for a game or a new challenge. Despite his zest for life, Douglas knows the value of a good cuddle and cherishes moments of affection. He's great with kids, making him the perfect family companion. Fred is a sweet cat that came with the home we purchased. He was a great outdoor cat until an accident occurred causing him to lose a rear leg. He is considered special needs but doesn’t act as such. He has jumping limitations preventing him from reaching most counter tops at a standard height but can still jump a baby gate with a lot of effort if needed. He is a very gentle cat but with all his years outside he never learned to properly play but is figuring it out. He’s very dominant and has a hard time with other dominant male cats but has no issues otherwise male or female. Has lived with a dog and adjusted fine. He snuggles and purrs and will love you. Does good with older children but not with young babies/toddlers that don’t know boundaries.
