You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Smokey was found in Austin by an individual who tried to keep him but she was informed she was not able to have a cat.  Smokey is about 2 years old as of 4/2022.  He is a people lover but does not really like to associate with other cats.  He likes to play with a string and bat around a ball. He can be a somewhat aggressive player so probably would not be a good candidate for a family with young children.   Smokey has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now neutered and is current on shots.  We are looking for an indoor only home for Smokey.  His adoption fee is $50.  A pet porter is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS.  To meet Smokey or any of our other cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH, just past our local airport.  THANKS.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 26, 2023, 7:26 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mongo came to us through the Austin City Pound in January 2023.  He is an adult male of about 2 to 3 years of age.  He is a very, very friendly guy.  He is now neutered and current on shots.  He tested positive for FIV and negative for feline leukemia.  We are looking for a strictly indoor only home for Mongo--he would do best in a home where he is the only cat or where the other cat is also FIV+.  (Here at MCHS, Mongo does seem to prefer to be the only cat!) You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Karol came to the Mower County Humane Society in July, 2023 via an illegal drop off.  She is a people-friendly girl here at MCHS and is a bit "hissy" with the other cats here at MCHS.  We think she will calm down given time. She probably will be best suited to a family with older kids.  Karol has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now spayed and is current on her shots.  She probably was born in early 2022. We are looking for a loving, indoor only home for this girl.
