Story
Opal is 3. Big boy Maine Coon mix. Who is always waiting at the door when you get home. He loves laying in walk ways waiting to have his big soft belly rubbed, if he isn't up on his shelves. He loves toys that he can slap and chase. Opal is very well behaved and has never jumped on the kitchen counters or gotten into the trash. He is very talkative and will let you know when he wants to munch on treats or play. Opal also loves looking outside and bird watching. You won't find him cuddling up on your lap. However, he does like to get under the blankets on the couch or bed and cuddle next to you. Opal is a very anxious cat that CAN NOT tolerate other pets or children in the household. He also does not like to be picked up, he will let you pick him up, but he won't like it and will want put down shortly after. Opal does have some medical conditions that will need to be monitored. Asthma & Gingivitis. Opals ideal home is a quiet one with lots of treats and toys.

Story
Meet Porcupine. Her namesake may be prickly but this cuddle bug doesn't have thorns! She is the epitome of cuddliness wrapped in fur. This 6-month-old kitten is as friendly as they come, with a heart full of love and a purr that could melt the iciest of hearts. It's incredible just how trusting Porcupine is of humans. You may remember her rescue story as she was rescued with 8 other cats and kittens found dumped in an abandoned parking lot next to Coughlin's Law in Mount Washington. They were all covered in urine and feces, smelled of cigarette smoke, and were severely underweight, weighing less than half of what they should have. She hS since left all of that behind her and hasn't skipped a beat! Porcupine adores being held and petted, and nothing makes this little feline happier than snuggling up with their favorite humans. She'll happily make all the biscuits while you love on her. She loves the company of other cats and would do best in a home with a playmate. If you're looking for a furry companion who will fill your days with endless purrs and unconditional affection, look no further than Porcupine! Porcupine is about 6 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Story
This pretty, young lady turned up on a suburban porch, with several of her babies in tow. The kindly neighbor started feeding her and the kittens and has been working getting the entire crew (turns out she had two litters) all vetted. While her kittens were somewhat skittish, Penny turns out to be just a love and clearly was someone's pet at some time. Penny likes to be petted and talked to but she is not wild about being picked up and carried around although that might change once she has the security of a permanent home. Penny has been vet checked, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, dewormed and spayed. She has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV although she is still outside. She can be retested prior to adoption. Bella's birth date is unknown but she is estimated to be about two years old.  Penny has not been formally surrendered to Animal Advocates or observed by Animal Advocates' volunteers. This is a courtesy post to facilitate a home-to-home adoption for Bella. For more information, please respond directly to Gloria at 412.974.6626 or house111@verizon.net.February 23, 2024, 10:03 am
