Calm - Friendly - Cuddly While Baguette started out shy and nervous, she quickly adjusted to being in her foster house. Now she loves getting pets and attention and happily cuddles when her fosters sit next to her. Even during playtime she’s often more interested in giving and receiving affection while her foster siblings are busy playing, although she certainly still has a playful side. She hasn’t climbed into our laps yet, but she’s put a paw up on our leg before and given her loving nature we think it’s possible, although not guaranteed, that she could eventually become a lap cat. Baguette’s fur is extremely long, soft, and majestic and she loves having it brushed, but it is prone to matts and she sheds a lot, so it will require care and possibly regular trips to a groomer. She frequently cuddles with and receives comfort from her foster sister Brioche, and we consider them to be bonded.

Wary Crostini is a very nervous cat, and her fosters are still working on socializing her. She came to us younger and later than her foster siblings Breadstick, Baguette, and Brioche, and is taking time to adjust to the life of a house cat. She is making slow but very real progress, responding well to treats but still easily scared and not ready yet for pets. Her fosters are looking forward to getting to know her better as she learns that humans are friends. Crostini sometimes cuddles and plays with her foster brother Breadstick, and they may be a good pair to go together once she is ready for adoption.

Playful - Sweet - Cautious Brioche is a shy, mild-mannered beauty who may take some time to find her comfort zone, but once she does she becomes an affectionate sweetie who loves pets and attention, and the moment any sort of toy comes out she’ll show a very energetic and playful side. She also likes having her long, beautiful hair brushed, although it’s prone to matting and may require maintenance or even trips to a groomer. Brioche may take some patience and care to overcome her nervous nature, but anyone who does will be well rewarded with a sweet and playful friend. She frequently cuddles with and receives comfort from her foster sister Baguette, and we consider them to be bonded.

We don't have much insight into Bambina's life, but she has enjoyed every second of her time at HARP so far. Meet our grande dame, Lucinda! Lucinda came to us as a stray in bad condition. A delicate flower such as herself certainly could not thrive on the desolate streets! During our time with Lucinda, we've learned that she is not looking for any feline companions (they block the spotlight), she loves to be pet (so we can admire her softness), and she needs a high-walled litter box (to fit herself and her big personality). Lucinda would be happiest by your side getting some ear scratches, even though we'd all know she's the real star. Witness her grandeur today!

Meet Ember. *Bonded pair! Must be adopted with Rogue* Ember is a sweet and fluffy tortie girl. She has the biggest personality and somehow finds a way to make you laugh even if you have had a tough day. She is not a big fan of being pet, but she is a huge fan of hangin’ out. She loves to play with wand toys, springs, your socks, anything that you can toss her way and she can chase! She loves perches and scratch posts, anything that allows her to be high up and gaze upon her land (and her people). The way to Ember’s heart is food. She loves treats, Churu tubes, wet food, dry food, anything yummy. If you are feeding her, she is LOVING you. Her other hobbies include staring at you from various distances, starting wrestling matches with Rouge, stealing food from Rouge, chirping and getting the zoomies. If you love to hang, Ember is your girl. Rouge is a small gray boy. He is actually older than Ember, but his size still makes him look like a kitten. He is a very sweet boy but change makes him nervous. He needs a home where he can become the cuddly baby he wants to be. When Rouge first came to our foster house, he and Ember shared a playpen to give them their own space and to let his foster parents socialize with him. While in the pen he learned he absolutely loves head scratches, particularly behind his ears and sometimes under his chin. He would sit for the longest time for a head stratchie session and purred up a storm. Since then they have outgrown that space and have upgraded to a bedroom. He loves the space to run around and he loves laying on his foster mom’s bed when she isn’t using it, but he is not used to sharing his space with a human so he is back to being more of a timid boy. However with each day he hangs out more with his foster mom in the room, plays more and has more confident body language. His bestie Ember has been a big reason he is enjoying indoor life. Even with her aversion to being pet, there seems to be little that phases her. She immediately claimed her foster mom’s room as her own and mostly only hides when she wants to hangout with Rouge. And inversely, Rouge comes out to play and hangout when Ember gets up. With enough Churu treats, toys and time, Rouge and Ember will make a sweet (and very entertaining) pair who complement each other well. Ember and Rogue are just around a year old, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Habibi—Habi—is our 8‑year‑old house cat, adopted as a kitten by my son before he moved to Japan in 2026. She’s lived with us ever since, a gentle, affectionate companion who peacefully tolerated our former dog and only occasionally hissed at visiting dogs. Until June 2026 she lived with three adults, and now just the two of us. I’m deeply attached to her, and though my husband isn’t a cat person, he’s wonderful about sharing her care. Working from home since 2022 has made her my daily companion; she's very smart, loves routine and bonds closely with her person. She’s shy with strangers and prefers quiet, predictable environments. We’re seeking a new home because she developed inconsistent litterbox use after our week away in Jan 2026. Despite many attempts, we haven’t resolved it, and believe a patient, cat‑loving owner could help her thrive again. It breaks my heart, but I want her in a home where she’s cherished. She’ll be seen by our vet soon and brought fully up to date on care.
