Story
Meet Howl and Tatsuo! Howl and Tatsuo came from a home with 17 other cats and because of this are particularly shy and under socialized. Howl is Tatsuo's brave brother who will let you know when he wants attention by meowing and rubbing into you! Tatsuo follows in Howl's shadow, waiting to get the Churu you have while watching you lovingly from afar! These two truly love to play and relax all day! These two will make excellent companions for an experienced cat owner who is willing to help these wallflowers thrive in their new home - because of this these two will need to go to a home with no other animals or small children. With their background and special behavioral needs, it is required that our Training and Enrichment team speaks to potential adopters to help set up you and these fellas up for success in their new home! If you are interested in more information, please stop by our East location to speak to one of our adoptions counselors!

Story
This pretty, young lady turned up on a suburban porch, with several of her babies in tow. The kindly neighbor started feeding her and the kittens and has been working getting the entire crew (turns out she had two litters) all vetted. While her kittens were somewhat skittish, Penny turns out to be just a love and clearly was someone's pet at some time. Penny likes to be petted and talked to but she is not wild about being picked up and carried around although that might change once she has the security of a permanent home. Penny has been vet checked, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, dewormed and spayed. She has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV although she is still outside. She can be retested prior to adoption. Bella's birth date is unknown but she is estimated to be about two years old.  Penny has not been formally surrendered to Animal Advocates or observed by Animal Advocates' volunteers. This is a courtesy post to facilitate a home-to-home adoption for Bella. For more information, please respond directly to Gloria at 412.974.6626 or house111@verizon.net.April 24, 2024, 4:37 pm

Story
Oh! Did you see that?! What was that majestic fluffy thing? Was it a bird, a plane? Nope. It was Princess Lightning Flirty Floof! This lady is as fast as lightning and as beautiful with her sleek long black hair and super fluffy tail. As her name gives away, she is quite the flirt - nuzzling nearby objects and purring, purring, purring as she requests attention from you. But don't think you can just pet her; she's still a princess after all and has to be in the mood for pets. If she does want attention: beware! She won't stop nuzzling and pawing at you for ALL the LOVE! Lightning has been in her foster home for a few months now and has been learning to trust her human caretakers. At first, she wouldn't come out from under the bed but now she is the flirty girl above. She can be a bit skittish at first but warms up after a few days to new people. When you go to bed (or just near a bed) expect her to suddenly appear from thin air and ask for love. She is awkward when petted, often belly flopping and, in a few occasions, falling off the bed, causing quite a few giggles from her foster parents. She LOVES to zoom around with toys! Don't be surprised if you hear tiny mews as she carries around her latest favorite stuffy toy. She even likes dog toys and has been known to steal the dog's toys! Lightning currently resides with other cats and would love to be in a home with another kitty who will play and hang out with her. She also lives with a medium sized active dog who she tolerates and even sometimes nuzzles and grooms. She could do well in a home with cat-savvy children who give her space when she needs it. Lightning is about 10 months old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. If you are looking for an ever-flirty floofy new shadow who will make you giggle with her antics and silliness, do apply for this Princess Lightning soon!

Story
Meet Penne. This sweet and sassy fluff ball spent the majority of her short life living in a feral cat colony in Allentown. She can be a bit shy, but has learned to live life indoors and will warm up to someone who is willing to be patient and put in the time with her. Penne loves to have her head pet and scratched, as well as a good belly rub. Her favorite toy is a shoe lace that her foster mom gave to her. Penne is still learning to be a normal house cat after spending her whole life outside, which means she's very weary of new humans. She doesn't trust everyone right away and may give you a little hiss or two, but if you give her time to warm up to you she will play and sleep next to you anytime. Her weakness is kitty gogurt tube treats, and she will forget everything to gulp down one of those suckers. She would do well in a home with other cats, but hasn't been tested around other kinds of animals. Penne is a little over 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. She is available at the Waterfront (Homestead) Petco Adoption Center.
