Story
Meet Salem! Age: ~6 yearsBreed: Handsome Long Haired Black CatSalem’s story began with a rough patch - he was found abandoned outdoors, and a kind person took him in temporarily until he could get to safety here. He seemed to do well with her kids, but shelter life has been a big change for him, and he’s feeling quite shy as he adjusts. Underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet boy who truly wants to trust. Once Salem feels safe, he slowly warms up and shows his gentle side. Every day he’s taking small steps forward, and we’re getting little glimpses of the loving companion he can become.Salem is looking for a calm, patient home where someone will let him set the pace and show him that he’s finally safe for good. If you have a quiet space and a soft spot for shy, sensitive kitties, Salem just might be your boy.The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00. Encouraged for multi cat household.

Story
Duchess would do best in a calm, quiet environment. She would do OK in a home with older respectful children. She does not require another cat at home and would be fine by herself. She would do fine with cats that aren’t overly rambunctious. She has been introduced to a dog but proper introduction would be recommended for an overactive dog.

Story
Meet the Addams Family! Here’s Thing, a fluffy goofball looking for his forever home! This cat family came to us from a kind human who took in a few stray cats that ended up with a few unplanned litters! She reached out when her cat family became too big and she needed help, that’s where we came in! Thing is a handsome fluffy guy with a bratty attitude to balance out his good looks! Thing doesn’t love to groom himself too too well, so he’s usually stuck with a mat or two in his coat, and no, he doesn’t want to be brushed TOO much, only a little. He will be sent home with some calming meds for future vet visits so that he is able to maybe get some grooming done if he keeps up with that poor attitude in his new home. Thing has a chronic leaky eye, but you guessed it, he hates his eyes being wiped (we did figure out a trick to wiping them with minimal damage to the person wiping!) Thing absolutely loves yelling at you for pets with his cute meow, sleeping a very deep sleep in comfy spots, looking out the window at the outside action, catnip, wet food, and playing with mouse toys! Thing does well with other cats and especially enjoys playing with his brother, Uncle Fester. Thing would do best in a home with other friendly and playful kitties if Fester isn’t a match for you too. He has lived with dogs in his previous home. We think Thing would enjoy living with children, but since he can be a bit bratty, we think he should go to a home with older, cat savvy kiddos. Thing is approximately 2.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV tested negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and had a dental while in our care. If this sassy fluffball sounds like the match for you, apply today!

Story
This little kitten is Pickle. She and her two siblings were found living under a house in the Monroeville area by a kind colony caretaker. Pickle started off very scared, shut down, and untrusting of people. She is still a little nervous about human interaction, however, she gets more brave every day with her foster mom. She hasn’t been brave enough to solicit attention on her own, but she can be bribed with yummy treats. Pickle is learning to enjoy human attention with the help of snacks & playtime (especially with wand toys!). Pickle loves to play, eat all the snacks, bird watch, lounge, and sunbathe. She seems to enjoy her independence. Pickle will need to go to a home with adopters that have experience and patience for shy/skittish kitties. She’s nervous around small children so she may do best with older children or adults who understand to go at her pace. She’s best introduced with some food bribes or wand toys, she can be petted while she eats. Pickle loves other cats, and she must go home either with one of her siblings or to a home with another active, playful cat companion. She usually mimics the behavior of other cats so it is preferred her cat companion be more confident to help show her the ropes around her new home. She’s met the same family dog a couple of times but is not the biggest fan. She would likely prefer a home without dogs. Pickle is almost four months old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please give Pickle (and a friend?) a chance at a new life - apply today!

Story
Meet Bovine! This little catlike, dust-fluff, semi-cow creature came to TCR with his siblings several months ago, and man was he not impressed by us. He's really perfected the art of projecting his attitude across the room with a single "look". After several months in foster, Bovine can't help but like us just a little. He's a silly goofball who is 99% talk - he still hisses and pretends that he doesn't want affection... but then we see him giving butt raises and even leaning in for pets. He EVEN purrs for us now. Bovine will need a family who can be patient with him at first and help him continue to learn that humans aren't so bad. He has never been aggressive with us but will avoid you if he's not sure about you. He can be pretty easily bribed with one of this favorite things - FOOD - so that is a good time to reinforce that pets are also great. Bovine gets along great with other cats and would thrive best in a home with another kitty pal... although he can be a bit of a turd when it comes to trying to steal everyone else's food dish. We think he could do OK with older, respectful kiddos, although young or very loud kids might be a bit much for him. We think he has so much potential, and he is just looking for the right family to help him get the rest of the way there! Bovine is a little over a year old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. He has a very long and floofy coat which is currently trimmed down to prevent him from getting matted. His future adopter will have to be amenable to keeping up with regular brushings once he learns to tolerate that! Please apply to adopt this sweet and beautiful boy, today!
