Story
BlindMeet Sir Teddy, the debonair 5-year-old black, long-haired feline who has recently escaped from a hoarding predicament that would make even the most seasoned packrat blush. His tale is one of incredible survival and unwavering optimism, as he has bravely navigated a challenging past filled with uncertainty and neglect. Now, with his heart full of hope, he is ready to find his forever kingdom where he can reign supreme, spreading love and cuddles to all who enter his domain.   This dashing fellow sports a fur coat so luxurious that it could easily make the finest silk feel inadequate. His long, flowing black fur glistens in the light, showcasing the beauty that lies beneath his tough exterior. Fun fact: Sir Teddy is 80% blind in both eyes, a condition that is the result of his genetics. However, don’t let that fool you—he’s still got a remarkably keen sense for spotting the nearest treat! His ability to navigate his surroundings, despite his visual impairment, is a testament to his resilience and adaptability.   Initially, Sir Teddy might play hard to get, exhibiting a bit of shyness as he adjusts to new environments and people. However, with a generous dose of tender loving care (TLC), he will gradually reveal his charming and affectionate side. And boy, does he have a lot to say! His foster family has reported that Sir Teddy chirps like a feathered friend all day long as he explores his domain, filling the air with a symphony of delightful sounds that reflect his curious personality. His vocalizations are not only endearing but also serve as a reminder of his playful spirit, which is eager to engage with the world around him.   Given his history, Sir Teddy may take a little extra time to warm up to new folks, but once he’s in your corner, he is as loyal as they come. His loyalty is unwavering, and he forms strong bonds with those who show him kindness and understanding. He would thrive best in a serene setting, preferably with a human who appreciates his unique quirks and can offer him a stable castle to call home. Additionally, he has shown that he is quite accommodating and is cool with both dogs and other cats, making him a versatile companion for any household.   If you’re on the hunt for a sweet sidekick to accompany you on life’s adventures, consider adopting Sir Teddy. He’s patiently waiting for someone special to give him a second shot at joy and a loving home. With your affection and care, he can bloom into the playful and loving kitty he was always destined to be. Imagine the joy of seeing him flourish in a nurturing environment where he can express his true personality. Reach out to learn more about Sir Teddy and how you can help him embark on a new adventure in life, filled with love, laughter, and endless cuddles.  April 5, 2026, 5:49 pm

Story
DOB: 10-10-2021 Throughout the day, Carrot exudes joy. Perhaps it is because he was in poor physical condition when he was rescued from homelessness, and, since living the good life in a Forgotten Ones foster home, he has flourished. Carrot has big gold-coloured eyes, and  his coat is predominantly orange with striking accents of white fur along one side of his face and a big fluffy bib. Carrot is always happy to be in the company of people. He expresses his affection by rubbing against your legs, giving you lovely little cat kisses, and contently kneading your legs when he is on your lap.  Carrot is not shy about asking for a little love, and he will tap your legs or arms to let you know he is awaiting pats, or he will flop down right in front of you as a not-so-subtle demand for belly rubs.  Throughout the day, Carrot is happily entertained by playing with spring toys, chasing after a laser beam, and gazing out the window to monitor his neighbourhood or to soak up some sunshine. Carrot is great with other cats and will be ideal for a home with a similar-aged, female cat. Carrot had urinary issues when he was rescued, and his condition has been successfully treated with a prescription diet, which will be a life-long requirement for him to maintain good health. Carrot will  be a wonderful addition to a family that can give him lots of attention and interaction, daily brushings, and will value all the love he has to give.Adoption applications are available at http://www.forgottenones.ca/adoptions/. Please email the completed form to contact@forgottenones.ca. Adoption fees are $250.00 for adult cats (one year and older), $300.00 for kittens, and $175.00 for senior cats (10+ years old). Story
DOB: May 2019Meet Casey: Captivating Casey with his dark grey-striped coat comes to greet you when you have a treat or wet food. Unsure about being picked up just yet, approach slowly and he may allow a pet.  He also likes playing with the other kitties, chasing the laser’s red dot, and sprinting after cat springs and cat wands. Now Casey hopes he can go to a loving patient home with one of his playmates or to one with a playful young puss already there. Story
DOB: December 2015Meet Sylvester:    Rescued with Louise and Theodore, sweet, shy Sylvester comes to us for the wet food he loves and rewards us by rubbing softly against our legs. Moving but not running if we try to pet him, he loves using the turbo scratcher, rolling around with catnip toys and cuddling with Theodore.
