Story
Boots is a gorgeous long-haired gray cat! He loves to play with feather toys and chase after balls. He is great about playing alone, but enjoys when you play with him even more! Boots is also ready to chill with you after a long day, curling up near wherever you are sitting. He warms up to new people fast and will ask them for head scratches. Due to his long coat he needs frequent brushing, which he does well with (especially if he gets a churu treat). He is very affectionate with his sister, Dora, and was good with other cats when in the shelter!

Story
Oscar is a very affectionate young adult cat who adores attention and simply wants to be loved. He enjoys the company of both adults and children and is calm and gentle around other animals. For the past few months, Oscar has been staying in our garage, so we’re not sure how he’ll adjust to being indoors full-time — but with patience and care, he’s sure to thrive. He loves to follow you around the yard and will often roll over onto his belly asking for rubs! Oscar has recently been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). With proper care and regular vet visits, cats with FIV can live long, happy, and healthy lives. He just needs someone who understands his condition and is willing to give him the attention and love he needs. Oscar would make a wonderful, loyal companion for anyone looking for a sweet and gentle friend.  His rehoming fee of $100 will be donated and he would have his best life being indoors, warm and loved on.  His age has been estimated.  He lives in Cottage Grove with his rescuers.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2025, 9:44 pm

Story
Precious is Sponsored by Deb Flensborg.Hello there, I'm Precious. My years have taught me the value of independence and the joy of a quiet life. While I may be a bit shy, don't mistake that for lack of confidence. I know who I am, and I'm not afraid to show it. I may need some time to adjust to new surroundings, but that's just because I prefer to take things at my own pace. I'm not one for constant social interaction, but I promise you, when I choose to show my affection, it's genuine and deep. I arrived at the shelter already declawed, so I will not be a good mouser. Adopting me might require patience, but I assure you, the bond we could form would be worth every moment of waiting. If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment.
