Story
Hello,My name is Althea, meaning healer or to heal. I was abandoned by my previous owners and was rescued by some people and brought to OFOSA. They quickly saw that my breathing was not quite right. I had a condition where my organs were in the wrong end of my body than they were supposed to be. Shortly after I had surgery to put my insides back to the correct positions. Now I can breathe and eat fine. I was super skinny but an filling out better now that I can eat properly. My biggest feature is my legs, I am very tall. Once my hair grows back in I will be very fluffy. You can see it in my face and tail now. Cats: Probably okayDogs: UnknownKids: Older or adult onlyMedical: Had a peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia. After fully healing from the surgical repair, she should not have last issues due to the hernia.

Story
Boots is a gorgeous long-haired gray cat! He loves to play with feather toys and chase after balls. He is great about playing alone, but enjoys when you play with him even more! Boots is also ready to chill with you after a long day, curling up near wherever you are sitting. He warms up to new people fast and will ask them for head scratches. Due to his long coat he needs frequent brushing, which he does well with (especially if he gets a churu treat). He is very affectionate with his sister, Dora, and they must be adopted together.

Story
Moonie was left behind by one of the neighbors about 2 months ago. He’s a soft, healthy and well fed indoors cat. He loves cuddles and is very friendly! I love this cat, but I’m not financially stable to continue taking care of him. Unfortunately I don’t have any medical records of this cat, and he has not been neutered yet. Please help Larry find a loving home

Story
Daphne is very people friendly. She meets strangers at the door. She loves food, and needs to lose a few pounds, so she needs to be on a diet. She was my mother’s cat and she indulged her with many treats! Daphne loves to play with wand toys and toys with catnip. She will bring you her favorite toy. Daphne loves to be brushed and combed. I usually comb her fur out once a day when I’m watching TV, so she won’t develop matts. It’s always better to stay ahead of that. Daphne will want to be your only cat. She wants to dominate other cats and will bully them. Not sure how she would be with a dog. I think she’d do well with children especially if they are gentle with her.

Story
Sunny was adopted at the Salem Oregon Humane Society location by my brother, about 8 months ago. My brother passed suddenly last week, and his wife cannot care for 3 cats, nor afford 3 cats. She is keeping two others, mainly because the two have lived together much longer. Unfortunately, Sunny seems to be the odd man out in the trio. I would take him, but my landlady forbids cats. Sunny is such a lovable boy that I would be willing to get a different apartment that allowed cats, but we simply don't have time. My brother's wife and children are moving to an apartment she can afford at the end of December. So, we really hope Sunny finds a new, good home pronto. Sunny is an extremely affectionate cat. He may be a bit shy at first, but he will open up once he sees love. Please help us get Sunny a forever home.
