Story
Meatball is a very big, very fluffy kitty! He is very reminiscent of a Maine Coon cat in size, temperament, and appearance. He is not really a lap cat at all, but he likes to be near people and to get attention. He doesn't really appreciate a belly rub, but he adores having his cheeks and chin scratched firmly. He can give you love nips if you aren't paying enough attention to him. He definitely enjoys being picked up and held. For best results, cradle him like a baby and pet his chin. Brushing Meatball is a must and it's also his FAVORITE! It helps control his long fur and makes him very soft, and he comes to expect it as part of his evening ritual. You can give him a mohawk or combover, and he doesn't care in the least. He likes to sleep at the foot of your bed and to hang out in the room with you while you are doing other things. He prefers dry cat food and, no surprise, comes running every time he hears a new portion hit the bowl. Nicknamed "Speed Bump," Meatball enjoys flopping down on the floor in your path so you are forced to either step over him or stop and pet him. He'd really rather you stop to give him love, of course. He likes to play with stringy things, but it is often a short game since he forgets to let go once he catches it. This chunky fella is quite a character. Meatball is FIV+ and bonded with fellow FIV+ cat and wrestling partner, Rufus. Cats: RufusDogs: UnknownKids: OlderSpecial: FIV+, indoor onlyAdoption Fee: $180 for the pair

Story
Hello, My name is Cornelius. I am a special boy looking for some special people to help me live my best life. I came to OFOSA injured and incontinent from that injury. I have a limp but I am mobile and love to climb but do need to wear diapers. You can see me in some of my cute diapers in my pictures. I only have a stub left of my tail that might make me look even cuter, but I don't care, I can't feel it anyway. I love people and love playing. I don't like when people are trying to do something to me while I am trying to play and get pet, such as put on my diaper, bathe me, or trim my nails. But, I am doing great with getting distracted with a treat while getting my diaper put on. I am a very busy young man so as long as you give me enough playtime I will also sit next to you for a petting session. As long as you are petting my head I will be your best friend. And I am a bit of a goofball so will make you laugh often. Cats: Yes, but I kinda bug other cats sometimes, so looking for young playful cats like me to live with.Dogs: OkayKids: Older or adult onlySpecial: Incontinent. Wears diapers when free roaming. Has a limp but very mobile.

Story
When I adopted A rlo (now 11 years old) I already had an older female cat. They became great friends and when she died I adopted two kittens who I hoped he would be friends with. Arlo has tolerated them for the past 4 years but never bonded with them and doesn't have patience with them. He would be happier being the only cat. He hasn't been around children or dogs and lives indoor only. He is a big boy at 17-lbs (including fluff). He is shy around strangers and loud noises and will hide. When I moved, it took him about a week to get used to it. He is a sweet cat and likes to cuddle and play with string toys especially. He loves looking out the window and watching Cat TV. He also likes to sleep on my bed with me. He has impeccable litter box habits and is a fan of most cat treats. He is good about using a scratching post and will leave the furniture alone. Indoor Only $50 rehoming fee   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. Story
I adopted Smokey when he was 8 months old to be a companion for my other black cat that was 2 at the time. They are good friends that you can see from the pictures. He is a very fluffy cat that needs brushing. I would like them to be adopted together because they are a bonded pair. Cinder is a year older. They play a little ruff but they love it. I have lots of places for them to scratch and toys. I put them around the house so they usually don't scratch my furniture. Once in a while I have to yell for them to stop. Scarring them like that makes them stop. I also use the water bottle but it usually isn't close by when I need it. Looking for a loving home for them. More cats would most likely be okay. I am not sure about dogs since I don't have them and they are in door cats and need to stay that way to have a long healthy life.

Story
Abby lost her housing in the Florida hurricane Ian 8 months ago. She has been staying with friends in Portland, Oregon but the other housecat has attacked her. Abby has been confined to one bedroom for 6 weeks and needs a safe, loving forever home. She tested positive at birth for feline leukemia but is extremely healthy and very loving. She loved to chase any wayward lizard who ventured indoors. She also lived with a 90 lb German Shepherd and another adult male cat very comfortably. She likes to scratch on her scratch pad and has never destroyed any thing. (Lizards aside) The Portland bedroom where she must stay is not Air-conditioned and she needs to find her new home as soon as possible. DNA test showed part Maine Coon but she only 8 lbs.. Please consider my sweet kitty for your special companion.

Story
Misha & Cassius are looking for a loving home together as a bonded pair. They are both almost 11 years old (in August 2023) and are extremely affectionate. We're looking for a home preferably without other animals and where the family is home a lot of the time. Misha is a female, blind, cream/brown long haired cat. She has a very cuddly personality and if up to her, will sit on your lap or be carried forever. She is very vocal and loves to tell you when she wants pets, which is always. She also loves cat trees and despite her lack of sight, will climb to the very top. Her favorite food is fresh catnip and will devour an infinite amount if allowed. Cassius is a black/brown long haired male. He is skittish at first, but is equally as cuddly. Once you gain his trust, he will lay with you every night especially if you come with a soft blanket. He loves to watch birds through the window and will too pick the highest view point possible. Please feel free to reach out with questions!

Story
Denali is a gorgeous cat - beautiful white fur and blue eyes. She takes a bit of time to warm up to humans, but once she does, she is lovely and loving. I think it takes her time because she was found living outside on her own, and we don't know how long she was living like that. The vet gave her a clean bill of health, vaccinated her and believes she is spayed (although without shaving her beautiful fur, he couldn't be 100% positive). She LOVES to play with kicker toys and explore the hiding spots in the house, and can be either an indoor only or an indoor/outdoor cat. We adopted Denali from her rescuer, but we already had 2 adult female cats and after several months of trying, they have not accepted her. That may be them more than her as she did live temporarily with someone else who had several cats and reported no issues. There is still a lot we don't know about her earlier life, so I think she'd be a great fit in a quieter household who will give her the time she needs to feel at home. Indoor home for her safety. $125 rehoming fee   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
