Story
MEET HOPE!3 year old Hope is a breathtaking buff calico with movie-star looks and absolutely zero interest in being part of your social circle. This independent queen is not here for cuddles or small talk - she prefers a calm, predictable environment where she can sleep peacefully, admire herself, and not be observed too closely. She does not enjoy other animals, she does not seek affection, and she would particularly like for us to note that this is not something she plans to work on. Hope knows she is gorgeous and will use that to her advantage. She is the 8th Wonder of the World - meant to be observed and not touched. She is not here for you; she is better than you and she knows it.Hope would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with a cat-savvy human who respects her boundaries and understands that companionship doesn`t always have to include physical interaction. She is a self-sufficient girl looking for a peaceful, low-contact home where she can exist in quiet judgment. She is happiest when left to do her own thing and would make an excellent roommate for someone who appreciates a beautiful presence without the expectations. Hope would do wonderfully in a long distance friendship - same room, but with some space between you unless she gets the need for a few short lived scratches. While Hope may never be a lap cat, she has her own way of sharing space - silently from across the room, with judgment that comes from a place of love. She firmly believes that true love and friendship isn`t possessive, but instead honors respect, independence, and space. For the right person, that`s more than enough. Hope is spayed, up to date on vaccines, current on prevention, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. She is ready to move in and ignore you forever.Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in.Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative

Story
Meet Eloise, the elegant and beautiful cat who is looking for a loving home. Eloise is not only a great companion for those who work from home or retirees, but she also loves to help out by sleeping on the desk and even typing messages to your boss!  Eloise has had a tough past, as she was left to fend for herself for 7 days after her first owner passed away suddenly. Thankfully, her family discovered her and the other pets in the home. After a short stay in foster care, she was adopted by an amazing woman who loved brushing her long hair while she peacefully napped in her lap. However, Eloise's second owner also passed away suddenly, and she is now in need of a new forever home.  To add to further trauma for this girl, she was adopted and returned due to not adjusting well to the existing cat in the home.  Eloise gets along well with well-mannered dogs, but she is EXTEMELY selective when it comes to other cats. She prefers to be the only kitty in the household and does not like sharing a litter box with other cats. It's important to note that Eloise may not be suitable for households with small or young children, as she can be reactive if bothered when she's not in the mood. She does communicate well when she is over stimulated, her human just needs to listen!.  The ideal adopter should be able to read cat body language and understand when Eloise needs her space.   If you are interested in adopting Eloise or would like to complete an application, please don't hesitate to contact us. Eloise is ready to bring her elegance and beauty into a new loving home. Application and adoption fee applies.  Adoption fee covers all vet care received to date: Spay, FVRCP, Rabies, Combo test (neg), Deworming, Flea/Tick prevention, and microchip. ##1611556##
