Story
This adorable kitten is shy with new people and situations. The important thing will be to create a feeling of safety for him by letting him settle in one room of your home with everything he needs: food, water, toys and a litter box. Interact with him during this time so he gets used to you being a part of his new life. He will need toys and lots of time with you, but most of all he will need your patience and love to blossom to his full potential. What my friends of SPCA of Bradley County say about me:"He was a little shy when we first met, but it didn't take too long for him to start purring. He loves getting pets. Gecko Moria is a really pretty little fluff-ball who has a lot of love to give. He is still very new, so he is just really unsure of what is going on right now; but, here in a few days, he will start coming out of his shell and his personality will shine. Would you like to see how bright his light becomes?"As always, introductions to existing family members should be done slowly and over time. Our adoptions team will give you suggestions on how to introduce your new family member! Visit anytime! The Adoption Center is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12pm-4:30pm. Appointments are not required for adoptions! Primary Color: Black Weight: 8.9 Age: 0yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
Meet Arlo, our little hero who came to us as a starving kitten. His long black fur was sunburned and tinged with red, likely from being accidentally locked away somewhere. He was half his healthy weight, lethargic, and scared. After five months of love and nutritious food, Arlo is now ready for his forever home. Though he may be a bit shy around strangers at first, it's understandable given his past. With a little patience and time, Arlo will adjust to his new home and family. In return, you'll be rewarded with his loud purrs and sweet head butts. Arlo loves attention on his own terms and demands it when hi is in the mood for pets. He is also a mischievous boy. He will take a drink out of your glass or stick his paw in it, he might steal your food, and he will shred your papers, so keep important documents locked away. There is never a dull moment. He is a bit afraid of young children, but older children are fine. He must have had a bad experience along the way with a dog, so he is slow to warm up to them. He has been fine with the senior dog at his foster home and is now tolerating the younger more energetic dog. You can apply to adopt this funny, handsome boy here: https://www.scratchinc.org/adoption.

Story
Hi, my name is Batman!  Yes, I’m the quiet distinguished looking young gentleman in the tuxedo, with the white goatee, gorgeous golden eyes and soft and shiny coat.  I don’t have a family of my own, but I sure would like one.  You just might be the perfect family I’m looking for.  Calm and patient—like Alfred—are my idea of the perfect family.  I start out keeping a low profile.  In fact, you probably won’t see much of me to start with.  I’ll find a nice safe bat cave to use as my home base and work from there.  I’ll start by looking at you to make sure you’re not going to do something rash then day by day I’ll show a little more of myself, explore at night, and after a couple weeks I’ll be running through the house.  If you just let me go at my own speed, you’ll be amazed at what a great cat I am.  I’ve been told I have the cutest little hop that I do when I’m running.  I don’t know about that, but I do love stretching my long legs.  I’m not really a fan of being picked up yet, but you can pet me and scratch me behind the ears if I trust you and I will give you the biggest purrs.  If I’m not up for petting, I’ll let you know maybe with a swat. I am a smart boy and communicate well.  I make little trilling sounds and meow to ask for food, greet you, express happiness or just to have a bit of conversation.  I’m not a foodie, but can’t resist a good Churu treat.  My favorite toys are springs, ping pong balls, and catnip mice.  I get along good with other cats and with dogs and would like to have a young furry friend to play and act crazy with (think Robin).  I have perfect litter manners, too.  What’s there not to love?
