Story
Previously living as an outdoor kitty, Gizmo has shown while he still has some learning to do, he is happily looking for a forever home indoors. He has shown to be friendly, loving and smart enough to recognize his name or nickname `Gizzy`. He spent some time in a home environment prior to us where he showed to enjoy following his person around the home (including to the restroom), short periods of brushing, chin and head scratches, naps with his people and a variety of toys with cloth mice being his favorite. Gizmo also likes to paw and meow when he is looking for attention or wanting to play. He`s very good at using his litterbox but is still learning the appropriate places to scratch. Gizmo previously lived with one other older feline but we do not know how he feels about kids or dogs. As Gizmo is still prone to gentle love nips and occasionally reaching for feet, older children may be best if any. Gizmo did test positive for FIV.Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Baby Boo was previously located in a foster home, here are a few words from her foster:`Baby Boo is the one long haired orange and white beauty in the litter. She is GORGEOUS and she knows it! She will purr, sleep and play in your lap with her siblings for hours if you let her. She can be a little shy with lots of noise and people, but once she feels comfortable, she warms up! (Like most people really!) She has been well loved by the kids in her foster home too! She must go home with a playmate of similar age.`Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Meet Mamacita (aka Big Mama)! This gorgeous senior gal is looking for a calm, loving indoor home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. Born around February 16, 2013, Mamacita is spayed, fully vetted, and more than ready to break free from the shelter and into the arms of a loving adopter.Big Mama would do well in a home with other feline friends, but she would prefer a quiet, dog-free, and kid-free environment, as too much commotion can be overwhelming for her. She has a charming habit of sticking out her adorable little tongue, especially when she’s enjoying some tasty treats! If you`re ready to give this sweet, deserving girl the cozy retirement she dreams of, apply online today at eastshoreha.org! Once approved, we can facilitate same-day adoptions.Want to meet Big Mama in person? Story
Allow us to introduce Opal! She's a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, she's incredibly affectionate. Opal enjoys sitting beside you and absolutely adores belly rubs. She's a snuggly girl with a mellow temperament. Opal loves to run over for pats and belly rubs once she's comfortable with you. Quite often, she'll playfully flop down on her back with her tongue slightly sticking out. She enjoys both observing and playing alone with catnip mice and feather wand toys. When it comes to resting, she prefers the highest spot on her cat tower, keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. She's a bit cautious about new arrivals, hence finding solace in perching at the top of her cat tree to monitor the stairs of her foster home. Having a tall cat tree by a window would be perfect, as she enjoys observing the world outside. Opal is the perfect cat for someone seeking a snuggly companion. She's an absolute delight, easy to hold, pick up, and open to nail trims. Her enchanting green eyes and the endearing way her tongue sticks out when content make her irresistibly cute and quirky. If you're looking for a sweet and affectionate cat Opal would be an amazing choice.
