Story
Winky is a sweet 4 year old little girl. We found her on Facebook she was being rehomed because she had a heart murmur and they didn't want to deal with it. We've had her for almost 2 years. Winky does know how to use a literbox but refuses to pee in one. Winky has lot of anxiety until she gets use to her surroundings. She's a cuddle bug, she loves to play. She gets along with other animals except other female cats. Winky has not been spayed due to her heart murmur they are concerned that it will kill her having surgery.

Story
Onyxia, also Nixy for short is a brand new addition to BDAR. She was very stressed in her previous home. There was just too much going on with dogs and kids running around. She had another cat that she did ok with. If the cat leaves her alone and lets her have her space, she does ok with them. She would prefer a quiet home where she can make her own moves on her own terms.

Story
This cute little boy and his siblings came as local rescue kittens. They had a late start on socialization and were scared and skittish at first but are really adapting to their new environment. Licorice especially loves wrestling with his siblings. He enjoys his snacks and food is a sure way to win with him. After a good meal, he likes to curl up on his human friend's lap and gets sweeter with more attention. He will need a little patience to help overcome the remaining skittishness but will really make a sweet companion. Come see if Licorice is the one for you!

Story
Annie is a petite but bold 10-year-old not afraid to stand her ground. She is extremely loving and will stick close for pets/scratches/rubs but prefers not to be held. She has been living with three other cats and is the last one needing a new home, as the others have been adopted. She is a little traumatized by all the change and needs a patient, caring person to make her feel comfortable so she can show her true, beautiful colors again.

Story
Meet Florence!! Florence is a 7-year old domestic longhair with a gorgeous gray coat almost like a Russian Blue. She is super well-behaved, relaxed, and loves to snuggle more than anything. She’s also litter box trained, has no known health issues (last checkup was Nov. 2023) and has a very independent personality. She can be slow to warm up but once she does she loves to play with her favorite toys and lay on your chest <3 I have to move out of state, so for Florence’s wellbeing I sadly am looking to rehome my sweet girl. No fees or anything, I am simply looking for someone who can give her all the love and snuggles in the world. She would do best in a home with no other pets, but introduction to another cat could be possible. With her comes all her stuff—carrier, food, toys, water fountain, etc.

Story
Lucy: 9 yr old spayed female, $200 as bonded pair with brother Olaf Lucy and Olaf are a 9-year-old bonded brother and sister pair looking for a quiet home, as the only animals. Lucy is very vocal and will constantly demand pets and brushes from you once she warms up. She is patient and easygoing as long as she's the center of attention. Olaf is a much more sensitive gentle giant. He can be easily stressed by too much activity in the home, and is sometimes territorial with other cats that share his space. He gets easily spooked and will retreat to his safe space if frightened. This has led to occasional issues with both him and Lucy peeing outside the litterbox, which was the reason for their previous surrender, although this behavior stops when they aren't stressed. Olaf will seek you out for attention once he feels comfortable. He is highly food motivated and responds well to treats. Both Lucy and Olaf have an aggressive interest in human food, and will frequently try to involve themselves in your cooking process. Olaf has also been known to steal from unattended plates. The pair are long-haired and require regular brushing to prevent knots and maintain their coats. Getting brushed is one of Lucy's favorite activities (when she's in the mood). Olaf tolerates it very well when bribed with a tube of chicken puree. apply At cokittycoalition.com to meet them in Fort Collins! ##1645135##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mattie's journey with LAWS has been nothing short of inspiring! Despite coming into their care underweight and with painful stomatitis and eye ulcers, she never failed to show appreciation for their help. With the care and support of LAWS' vets and volunteers, Mattie has made a remarkable recovery and continues to grow stronger each day. She now loves to eat and cuddle, and has even come out of her shell. It's amazing to see how far she has come, and we hope that she finds a loving home where she can thrive.   Mattie is looking for an amazing forever home!!! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com** May 4, 2024, 8:03 pm
