Story
Bandit, Bethany, Blaze, Bubbles and Buttons are all sweet babies born to an orphaned stray, Barbara. They are all extremely sweet and tame. They've been handled since they were born. They are up for pre-adoption.  More pictures soon. If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application. Each of our rescues will be COMPLETELY vetted (which includes a combo test, worming, spay/neutered, vaccines, and micro-chipping). We do all in our power to assure our rescues are as healthy as possible and live a long happy life. There is always a chance that an animal we have rescued will have a genetic health issue (since they are rescues there is no way that we can know their family history) or one of our tests falls in that low percentage of false-negative category or a they contract a rare disease that we have no way of knowing about or they contract under your care. We cannot guarantee 100% that your pet will live the 15 to 20 years we hope for but with all that we do for them, the chances are incredibly strong that they will. Transportation fees, when applicable, vary by distance/expense. Home checks may be conducted. We are asking for an adoption donation of $148. On most animals, a tax-deductible adoption donation of $148 is required upon approved adoption application. (This is a fraction of our vet expenses and you are always welcome to donate more.) HOWEVER, when we rescue a special breed, ridiculously adorable, or unusual color, we ask for a higher donation which helps towards our vet expenses. If you can't adopt, donate or sponsor, if you can't donate, volunteer! Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using our email address: info@straylovefoundation.org. Or you can click on the donate button on our FB page (StrayLoveFoundation Magnolia Springs) or click on the donate button on our website home page at www.straylovefoundation.org. Story
Meet Winky! She is a pretty brindle brown tabby or sometimes called a tortie tabby girl! She was rescued just a few days after Christmas in 2015 from Pensacola Beach rental house. The renter was staying a month and had noticed “Winky” and her 8-week old siblings outside, so she began feeding them and contacted us for help to bring them into safety. Her approximate birthdate is Nov 15, 2015 which makes her almost 4 years old. She loves to chase the laser dot and enjoys interactive toys like Catty Whack. See the video of her playing. She has a good friend named Lolita (Lolo for short) . They share dry a food bowl and they take turns following one another around! She loves to have her head, back and low back-scratched but doesn’t like to be held much. We keep working with her on this by placing our hands under her and moving her from one spot to another very short distances every day to help her progress in this area. She comes running at meal times and likes to try new wet foods! Wet food is a motivator and it is a good way to have her come to you for petting. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and wears a flea topical and is dewormed. She and Lolita would make a great kitty duo for your home!  She likes other cats but prefers Lolita most. Before you meet any of our wonderful cats or kittens, please fill out one of our Cat Adoption Applications on our main webpage at http://everettanimalwelfare.rescuegroups.org.  There is a link to our applications at the top of the page. Story
UPDATE:  Lolita's adoption is pending!  Will post another update when she is in her forever home! Lolita (also affectionately called Lolo) is a stunning Tortoiseshell gal with big green eyes! Her golden accents in her fur are beautiful! She enjoys being petted and head and low back scratched . She runs to meet us at the door and comes at feeding time and enjoys a short time of being held and scratched . She wiggles a bit when held but the scratching of her head is well worth it to her! She is curious about new wet foods but loves the gravy best! The Fancy Feast classic broth packets are nice . We continue to offer a spoon of wet food daily as cats don’t drink enough and wet food provides more moisture in the diet to help cleanse the kidney. Her estimated date of birth is July 2014.  She was seen in October 2015 behind the Checkers restaurant at Cordova Mall. Concerned cat lovers worked together to trap her in a safe trap and had her spayed and vaccinated. During her post surgery care it was discovered that she loved to be petted! So, she was not returned to live outdoors but to be fostered for adoption! In foster care, she quickly became friends with Winks a brown tabby gal and is often seen sharing a food bowl with her! She enjoys chasing the flashlight spot and following Winks around! She doesn’t really talk much if any at all! She can be a lil bossy toward other cats but with slow introduction can be transitioned to live with other cats. She and Winks would make a great instant kitty duo for your home! She is shy with new people but builds trust.  She could be transitioned to live with a nice quiet dog or two. She is spayed,  tested negative for leukemia and up to date on all her shots. She is dewormed and is already microchipped and has a flea treatment applied. Before you meet any of our wonderful cats or kittens, please fill out one of our Cat Adoption Applications on our main webpage at http://everettanimalwelfare.rescuegroups.org.  There is a link to our applications at the top of the page.
