Story
Matilda is black, floofy, soft and lovely. She is a little on the shy so it may take a time for her to show her true character, which is, no doubt, stellar.Matilda is looking for a quiet consistent house where she can stretch out, relax and feel at home. Once her personality starts to shine through she will be sprinting and springing about with her fancy new toys and nap in her fancy new bed.If you have the perfect home for the perfect fluffy cat then all you have to do is fill out an application and Matilda and her team will waltz on over and take a gander and may even give you a call. Story
This quiet pair arrived at our shelter late October of 2023, as their owner could no longer care for them due to health complications. Understandably, these two have been quite timid for the majority of their time here as shelter life can be extremely stressful and scary for cats, especially older ones. Throughout their stay, however, the pair has slowly started coming out of their shells with much patience and the help of our dedicated cat socialization volunteers, suggesting they may become full of personality some day. Buttons and Oriel are easily startled cats, which leads us to believe they would do best in a low activity household with no other animals. Oriel is slightly more understanding and tolerant than her sister and enjoys head and back petting, while Buttons enjoys very gentle head petting but will certainly let you know when enough is enough with a hiss (don't take it personally, she's just sensitive!). They both enjoy the occasional wet food treat along with a secure place to hide filled with comfortable bedding, and while it isn't necessary, they would thrive if they had a room designated just for them! These lovely girls are in need of someone who has experience with cats that have complicated personalities; someone who is very patient, understanding, and isn't opposed to having a pair that enjoy their own space and aren't big on cuddling but enjoy having a caregiver to look out for them. If you're someone who is in need of two diamonds in the rough to keep you company, please consider applying for Buttons and Oriel today!
