Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) My Story: A Purr-fect Match Waiting to Happen: Hi, I’m Ziggy, a handsome and smart little guy with a heart full of love and a purr that could melt anyone’s heart. I was rescued, with my three siblings, on a large property where I had a very large extended family. My rescue was bittersweet. Although I am very thankful that I no longer have to sleep outside, and wonder when I will have food again, I really miss my parents dearly, as well as all of my relatives that helped care when I was very young. I have been in my foster home for a while because I was unsure about humans in the beginning. These were the same humans that took me from my family. I was sad, confused and wasn’t sure who to trust. There were other kittens in my foster home with me, including my siblings, that I had fun playing with but every time I heard one of the big cats talking I would talk back to them and cry. I really want (and need) a surrogate kitty parent (or two) that will not only play with me but will want to cuddle with me and groom me. I don’t have any experience with doggy parents but that might work as well, if they meet the criteria listed above and have good references. In the meantime, while I’m still at my foster home, I’m trying to make friends with the big cats here and I have learned how to be the best snuggler with my foster parents. In fact, I’m a snuggle enthusiast—seriously, I can’t get enough of cozy lap time or curling up close for a warm cuddle. But don’t worry, I have a playful streak, too—I love batting at toys, chasing feather wands, and zooming around to burn off my kitten energy. One of my favorite activities is playing with, and carrying around, my little balls meowing and looking for someone to play with me. I am even learning to play fetch! But when the day winds down, I’m all about those quiet, affectionate moments. I’ve got great bed manners (I promise not to hog the blankets… too much), so expect me to be your little spoon at night. It takes me a little while to get comfortable around new people so offering me some treats when we meet for the first time will go a long way in building trust and a new friendship. Building a new friendship takes a little time so please be patient with me as we get to know each other. Are you that someone who will shower me with love and maybe even let me share their lap during movie nights? Do you have other kitties that won’t mind having a handsome little (for now) guy join the family? Well, I just might be your guy! Ready to meet me? Come with treats, an open heart, and a lap ready for snuggles. I can’t wait to find my purr-fect match! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! ADOPTION FEES: See website- https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _______________________________________________________________ ****APPLICATION:**** For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. Story
Meet Rosie, a striking beauty with a unique personality. She`s an independent soul, relishing in her solitude and often found basking in the sun`s warmth. Yet, Rosie isn`t just about quiet moments. She has a playful streak that shines through when you least expect it. She can be rough when playing and gets over-excited at times, so it is required that there are no children in her new home. She might be shy, taking her time to adjust to new environments, but once comfortable, she loves to engage in fun-filled antics. Rosie prefers her attention on her terms, a trait that resonates with her independent spirit. She enjoys gazing out the window, perhaps dreaming of adventures beyond. Rosie lived with dogs in the past and didn`t enjoy the experience, so she is required to go to a home without dogs. We think she would enjoy living life as a single pet, but if she does go home with another cat, a slow introduction is very important.Adoption fee: $50

Story
Home to Home Program Contact: dollfacewm@rocketmail.com A family of five 7-year-old cats needs a new home. Their guardian who took them in when the mom cat ran off, had them fixed and kept them as part of his family. A year ago, he lost his wife, and his health is in serious decline. In the best interest of his beloved cats, he has decided to find them new homes. They have only known his home and are devoted to him and vice versa. They are loving cats, albeit a little shy with strangers at the start. And they are good with other cats since they have never been apart. A neighbor is helping take care of the cats. She is the contact for inquiries and adoption. dollfacewm@rocketmail.com The family Butler: Butler is a long-hair Tuxedo, male, fixed. Butler is the only male of the five cats. He’s very loving once he gets used to you and trust is built. He is always looking out the open screened window and will escape if a door is open. But he does want to be back inside the next morning. Kezea: Kezea is a Tortoiseshell kitty. She is 7 years old and fixed. She is vocal and loves to be petted. She has an adorable face and big eyes. Kinzy: Kinzy is medium gray with some white female. She is 7 years old and fixed. She has beautiful eyes. She's shyer than her 3 sisters and her brother. Momma T: Momma T is a Tabby and White female. She is 7 years old and fixed. She is very friendly, and loves being petted. She is very vocal for attention. Jory: Jory has Siamese type markings. She is 7 years old and fixed. Rosie is a 1 year old female and she loves her people. She is currently in a home with 9 other cats, 2 seniors, a 2 year old, and 2 dogs. She is a great little girl but it's just too much for her. She is a sweet but shy girl. Unfortunately, due to divorce she needs a new home. She would do great in an indoor/outdoor home. Contact Cassia at 650-296-9090
