Story
Midnight is a very affectionate, smart cat. She likes to play with shiny crinkle balls and watch the birds on National Geographic channel. If you have a problem with mice coming into your house, they won't be there long with her around. She is quite the hunter. Midnight came to our door begging for food. Unfortunately, we were unable to find her original owner. She is very attached to another female cat named Sally who lost her home when her owner became very ill. We are hoping they can be adopted together but it is not mandatory.

Story
Superhero powers: second sight, super speed, super hearing Favorite color: Lea-yellow; Chloe-baby blue Favorite food: Lea-chicken pot pie; Chloe-sashimi Myers-Briggs Type: Lea-ISTP Chloe-ISFJ Our favorite pair of famous twins are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. If we could star in any movie it would be The Fox and the Hound Teacher Remarks: Lea is a sassy girl with a sweet side. As close as she is with her siblings, she bonds just as quickly to her person. She and Chloe are 2 peas in a pod. She doesn't like to wrestle with her siblings, but she enjoys running around with them and playing with little fuzzy mouse toys and getting firm ear rubs-especially if you rub both ears at the same time. She will let you hold her and rub her ears all day every day. Lea has limited vision due to deep scarring. Lea relies on her sister for confidence while she learns new surroundings-so they will need to stay together. Chloe is confident, playful, and likes to ask for attention with gentle chirps. She helps her sister by showing her that making new friends is easy and that new places are full of adventure. They have lived in moderately busy homes with teenagers, adults, small dogs, and adult cats. Their best friend is a young dachshund who they enjoy bathing and wrestling with. They do best with a low tracking/dust free litter, we recommend walnut, crystals, or corn.

Story
Lucas and Gabriela were found abandoned, dirty and malnourished when they were about five weeks old. Found by their foster mother, who brought them back to health and has raised them both as siblings with an abundance of love care. They do well with other cats, but have expressed fear with dogs when exposed. It’s possible they could warm up to them over time if the dogs were calm and non-threatening, but full disclosure they were fearful the first time they met any. They would well with a quieter calm home and with older gentle children who are respectful of animals. Lucas is very out going and loves to make his presence known. He loves to play and loves making new friends. Once you pick him up he begins to show you his appreciation with his outgoing purr. Gabriela is more reserved at first, but once she is given the confidence of love she begins to reveal her loving personality. She is playful and loving. just like her brother Lucas. Both Lucas and Gabriela have built a strong bond with one another that is unbreakable and are always together. They bring out the best in each other and are looking for a loving home together as they are a bonded pair. If you think Gabriela and Lucas would be a good fit for your family, and you can provide them with a safe, indoor only life, please submit an application on our website at www.secondchancekitty.org today! All Second Chance Kitty cats are free-fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative unless stated otherwise , dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn't an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we're renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment please take a moment and visit our website at www.secondchancekitty.org to submit an application. Second Chance Kitty is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting cats, kittens and an occasional dog, escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect.
