We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. We found this sweet girl on the side of the road about two years ago, and she’s estimated to be around 3–4 years old. She’s a very loving and affectionate cat, but also tends to be independent and aloof. She enjoys quiet company and gentle routines. She can get scared by loud noises and, instead of running away, she sometimes reacts by trying to “defend” herself from whatever startled her. Because of this, she would do best in a calm home without young children.She gets along well with other animals we currently have a dog and another cat, and she has done great with both. It truly breaks our hearts to rehome her, but with a baby on the way, we know we can’t give her the quiet environment she needs to feel safe. Our hope is to find her a home where she can be relaxed, understood, and loved. She’s a very sweet girl who deserves a peaceful, caring place to settle in.

Hello, I found this sweet girl in the hallway of my apartment. Unfortunately, no one in the apartment complex has claimed her. I took her to the vet and she has no microchip either. She has no spay scar, but she did get a 1 yr Rabies and 1yr FVRCP vaccine while we were there. She also got a dose of flea/tick meds and a dewormer. I am now in the process of finding her a home! She's got a quiet demeanor, big screamer for food though, and she warmed up immediately to us. The vet thinks she's about a year old.
