Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Just a little younger than his foster siblings, Basil is the perfect mix of playful energy and heart-melting affection. Raised as a bottle baby from day one, he’s a total momma’s boy with a deep bond to his humans—and a serious talent for stealing hearts. Basil is always up for a game or kitten adventure, but when it’s time to wind down, he’s looking for love. His favorite spot? Perched on his foster mom’s shoulder while she works—keeping an eye on everything and soaking up all the attention. He’s also had some positive interactions with dogs and is handling them like a champ, making him a great candidate for a home with a respectful pup. And did we mention the bedhead? Basil rocked the most adorable messy fur for weeks, and though it’s finally smoothed out, the cuteness is definitely here to stay. &#239&#187&#191 If you're looking for a playful, affectionate kitten who loves snuggles, shoulder rides, and would be happy in a multi-species household, Basil is your guy!  I am a Feline Leukemia positive kitty, so I'm only supposed to hang out with other feline leukemia kitties like me or ones that are vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. Feline Leukemia also means that I will most likely have a shorter life span than most cats, but I will be your best friend for all of it!  Estimated DOB:  3/19/2025 The adoption fee is waived, and we will cover any veterinary expenses related to feline leukemia for the lifetime of the cat.   Adoption fee: waived but donations always appreciated.  We would love to hear from you! To inquire about this cat, please contact us via this site, visit our website sc4paws.org to see a full bio, or visit sc4paws.rescuegroups.org/forms/ to fill out our adoption application. Important: Our cats reside in foster homes. Please fill out our adoption application if you would like to meet one of these special kitties! SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Cats (6 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all cats, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for FeLV, microchipped, current on booster(s) and rabies vaccinations, de-wormed, flea treated, and checked/treated for ear mites. SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Kittens (under 6 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all kittens, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for FeLV, microchipped, current on booster vaccinations, de-wormed, flea treated, and checked/treated for ear mites. Story
This sweet girl was rescued from a stray litter where unfortunately she got separated from her mama really early. Luckily she had great foster siblings to show her the ropes, give her lots of love, and keep her company. Saxa is now around 1.5yrs old and thriving. She is an outgoing and playful girl full of energy who loves everyone. She has been learning to walk on a leash and is doing very well! Saxa is great with other cats, children, and has done fine around dogs but hasn’t lived with them. When it comes to our woof-friends she has been curious if they are not too energetic, but has never hissed or shown any aggression. Due to losing her mama so early, Saxa doesn’t like to be alone. She needs a companion. She would do best with someone who is home or another cat friend. This loving girl will bring all the cuddles and joy into your life! She is well-mannered inside with no history of scratching furniture and quickly learns where she is allowed to explore.
