Story
Hey there! I’m Ziggy, and I’m basically the kid who never wants the playground fun to end. You know that one boy in class who’s always got a smudge of dirt on his nose but a giant grin on his face? That’s me. I’m a "buff" tabby, which is just a fancy way of saying I’ve got a coat the color of a perfect toasted marshmallow.I’m a young, sturdy guy with plenty of energy for "recess" (feather wand time is my favorite subject). But despite my sporty build, I’m actually the biggest mush you’ll ever meet. I have these huge, soulful eyes—the volunteers say they look like they’re filled with a million "thank yous" and a whole lot of love. When I look at you, I’m not just seeing a human; I’m seeing my best friend in the whole world!I’m a firm believer that there is no such thing as "too many" chin scratches. In fact, if you get distracted or try to walk away before I’m finished, I’ll gently reach out a soft paw and give your hand a little tap. It’s my way of saying:"Hey, Coach! Get back in the game! We were just getting to the good part behind my ears!"Think you can keep up with a guy like me? Come say hi! I promise I’ve already got a spot saved for you on the couch!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. Hi, I’m Zinger!!! I’m a sleek black guy with excellent timing and an even better sense of humor. I’m known for my perfectly placed zingers — quick, clever, and guaranteed to make you smile. I’ll hit you with a sarcastic side-eye, a surprise cuddle, or a dramatic flop that says, “I’m hilarious and I know it.”I’m the kind of cat who keeps things light around here. Bad day? I’ve got a look for that. Awkward silence? I’ll break it by knocking something over on purpose. I may be smooth and mysterious, but trust me — I’m all about delivering laughs and love in equal measure. If you’re looking for a charming comedian in a shiny black fur coat, congratulations — you’ve just met your favorite zinger.________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. Hello World…I’m Honey BBQ and I’m just the sweetest little gal!The first thing you will notice about me are my captivating eyes – one blue, the other green. No, I’m not wearing contact lenses; I was born this way. The second thing people notice is that I’m a little wobbly when I walk. I was born this way as well. The veterinarian says I have “congenital neuropathy.” Which, in my case, means my back legs will never be as strong or as fast as my front legs. But I’m not in any pain, it will not shorten my life expectancy, and it hardly slows me down. I still run, play, purr and cuddle like other kittens my age. I can even get in/out of the full-size litterbox and up/down the stairs without any issues (although, I’ll probably never be able to jump on kitchen counters, which my foster mom says is a good thing because I do not need to be up there anyways). For all of those reasons and more, I’m a really special girl who wants nothing more than a forever family of my very own. I love playing with feathers and string toys almost as much as I love playing my foster parents and their other cats. They say I’m a little purr machine and the best cuddler. I’m also getting so big and strong that I’m finally able to conquer the tallest of cat trees. If you think you can handle all of this cuteness, I’d love to meet you!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved.
