Name: Mustachio Male DMH Brown Tabby Estimated DOB: 10/08/2015 About: Mustachio is the sweetest old gent with the cutest croaky meow. He LOVES pets and wet food....wet food most of all! He will SHOVE you out of the way to get his wet food and, if your not getting it fast enough, will meow repeatedly until you do! Backstory: This guy came from the Newaygo area and had been living outside for a few years after getting kicked out of his home when his family moved. The neighbors all fed and took care of him but a few months ago, he came back with a large, gaping wound on his neck. The neighbors loved him so that they asked us to take him in and help him heal. His neck wound is almost healed up. We did bloodwork and that was pretty good for an older guy! The vet said his teeth look good but we're going to have another look to make sure as many older cats need dental care. Location: in foster Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and de-wormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. Name: Chase Male DSH Grey with White Tuxedo Estimated DOB: 9/15/2020 About: Chase is a very friendly guy that loves attention. He gets along with dogs and cats with slow introductions. We are not sure how long he has been on his own outside so he will need a patient family who understands it will take time for him to be besties with any fur siblings and for HIM to understand he doesn't need to go outside. He does still cry at the windows so right now an apartment may not be the best fit due to possible noise complaints. Also, due to his false belief that he needs to go outside, we would currently consider him an escape artist. Please take extra precautions to avoid him escaping outside. With time and patience, he will learn all the love, fun and safety are right at home. Meet Sweetie, a 12-year-old delight who truly lives up to her name! This affectionate, gentle girl has a knack for comforting her humans—if you’re ever having a nightmare, she’ll curl up beside you and purr you back to sleep. Sweetie is incredibly affectionate once she’s had time to settle in. She may be cautious with new people and places at first, often taking a few days to feel safe enough to come out of hiding. But with a soft voice and a little patience, her sweet, social nature shines through. Since adjusting to her foster home, she’s become a total snuggle bug who loves curling up on your chest and purring for pets. She thrives in a home where she can be the only cat, as other cats have caused her stress in the past. Sweetie was surrendered for litter box issues, but since receiving medical care and living in a cat-free foster home, she’s been using her litter box reliably. She’s currently coexisting peacefully with the foster’s older dog and may do well with another calm dog after a slow introduction. Sweetie’s favorite hobbies include basking in sunny spots, napping on cozy furniture, and playing with her beloved string toy. She hasn't lived with children before, but she may be a good fit for a quiet home with respectful, older kids—an intro is recommended. P.S. Sweetie’s adoption fee has been mostly covered by a kindhearted friend—there’s just a small fee to help with her dental care. Think of it as her smile fund!
