Story
This is Honey! She is almost 1 year old. Honey is spayed with all required shots. She has very soft fur, and loves affection. Honey is very ladylike, feminie and clean. She likes her scratching pad and would love to have a cat tree/tower to rest or watch what is happening outdoors. Honey is so graceful and loving. She is a dream cat, very easy. She would thrive in a home with a loving adult family/person. She loves to be held and petted. She needs a loving indoor home with annual vet visits and lots of love to give her. She is a very special girl.

Story
Meet Mabes! Mabes and her bestie Babes came to us after being left in a tote outside the shelter door. We believe Mabes was born in November of 2017, and would do best in a calmer home with older children or adults only and her bestie Babes. Mabes is a gentle soul that is very scared of shelter life, and spends most of her time hiding, and snuggling with her friend Babes. After she gets to know you more, she may lean in to your hand when you give her chin scratches, or put her booty up slightly once or twice when given tailbone scratches. Unfortunately Mabes has tested positive for F.I.V. and will need to be kept indoors and be the only kitty in the home, or share her home with other F.I.V. positive kitties. F.I.V. is not contagious to any human or other animals besides cats, and does not require medication of any kind. Mabes can't wait to find a home to call her very own with her best friend Babes, and put shelter life behind her! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Uno is all dressed up and looking for a place to shine! This handsome tuxedo boy is a native of Clarks Grove where he decided he wanted more from life and he came visiting to one of our fosters. She promised him she would help him find the life he wants. So now Uno, who was born in September of 2023, is waiting for you to come and sweep him off of his paws! He lived with other cats in his previous life, so he's good with having cat friends and probably other friends too as long as they love cats!! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. Story
Hi - I am Bonita. My old owner had allergies, so now I am looking for a different home. I am a sweet natured girl, but I don't like sudden movements. I like a calm, quiet household with plenty of sunbeams for napping. I don't mind other animals as long as they don't mind me. I enjoy being petted and playing with poof balls and springs. Please stop in and meet me, we can talk about the possibilities. I really would like a new best friend! Story
Ludwig was introduced to people very early on and thinks they are top-notch. He adores snuggling; in fact, he would make someone very happy as an emotional support animal! Ludwig gets along great with other kitties and would be suitable for all ages of people. We believe he was born in April of 2021. He enjoys playing with toys of any kind, or lounging in a cozy spot, but his most favorite thing of all is people.
