Story
Meet Fudge, Mocha, and Cocoa — a trio of irresistibly sweet black kittens who are as charming as they are mischievous. Fudge, the cheeky one, is always getting into trouble with a glint of playful curiosity in his eyes. Mocha, the calm and collected sibling, loves to nap in cozy spots and enjoys long, luxurious grooming sessions. Cocoa, the most affectionate of the bunch, can’t resist curling up next to anyone who will pet him, purring non-stop. Together, they’re a perfect blend of sweetness, playfulness, and snuggles, adding a dash of delight wherever they go. They each have a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees; we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Rainy, Cloudy, Misty, and Foggy are a charming little litter whose personalities match their weather-inspired names perfectly. Rainy is the gentle soul of the group, always the first to curl up in your lap with a soft purr that feels like a cozy afternoon shower. Cloudy is dreamy and observant, often perched on the highest cushion, watching the world drift by with calm curiosity. Misty is playful and light on her paws, darting through rooms like a swirl of morning haze, turning every shoelace and shadow into an adventure. And Foggy, the quiet explorer, loves to wander just out of sight before popping back into view with bright, mischievous eyes. Together, they’re a soft, whiskered forecast of cuddles, curiosity, and endless kitten mischief. Rainy has a $150 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Born under a porch on a warm spring morning, Lemon Shakeup knew love from the very start — thanks to a sweet mama, a gentle stray who watched over them with all the warmth in the world. LSU does have a heart murmur. He is all love and energy, just a playful, loving boy who loves nothing more than a human to snuggle with. He has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Allie Whoop came into foster care through Licking County TNR at just 5 weeks old as an orphan along with her brother, Curious George. Her brother was adopted fairly quickly. She's now 9 months old and she's grown up in a foster home. Unfortunately, Allie developed ocular FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) back in October. She was treated through Medvet and just recently completed the 84 day treatment to become an FIP survivor. What she needs now is a home of her own. *FIP is not contagious to humans or other animals, it is a mutation of the Feline Coronavirus (not related to Human COVID) that happens to a small number of cats exposed to Feline Coronavirus. As a survivor of FIP, she simply needs to be monitored for relapse. Most cats recover from FIP and go on to live healthy, normal lives; a small number of cats can relapse although the causes are not well understood. Allie is a floofy diva. She does love being brushed with a slicker brush. What she doesn't love is other animals. She's very, very, very slow to warm up to them and tends to play mostly by herself although she has a foster brother named Shere Khan (also available for adoption) that she'll play with and nap with (not bonded but they would do well together and each has a $125 adoption fee). She is extremely affectionate--in fact she needs to be the absolute center of your attention. She'll insert herself between any other animal or screen (phone, tablet) that you're looking at so you have to pay total attention to her. We feel like she needs a home with few other animals or even a home where she's the only furbaby so she gets all the loving. She did well with calm kids holding her at adoption events, so she would do fine with kids. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Butterscotch is a sweet girl but does not get along with our other 4 cats. She loves cuddles and pets and will purr for hours. Our house environment is too hostile for our other cats and is causing them behavioral issues as well.
