Story
MEET ZEUS! He is a big handsome, chill boy. He loves being brushed (which will be a requirement) and playing with his toys. He also likes to "hang out" and keep you company but not in a needy way. Zeus will walk in and make himself right at home! We think Zeus may have Irritable Bowel which means a special food from the vet and a lifetime commitment to that special diet, daily B12 chewable which he eats like a treat and a low dose steriod pill (1/2 pill every other day). You can do just about anything with Zeus. He loves being carried around over your shoulder, Zeus seems to be territorial with other cats so we believe he would be happier if he was the only cat in the home. He would love a cat friendly canine to play with (we sometimes think he sees himself as a dog!) .Zeus tried to play with the little dog in last foster home but she wasn't having it. We would be happy to consider a foster to adopt arrangement with Zeus as we know his future care is a bigger commitment. He's such a lovely boy. We don't think you would regret your decision once you meet him! He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had parasite prevention treatments. He is in a foster home in Mitchell, ON. If you are interested in hearing more about Zeus please complete the short online adoption inquiry and a volunteer will be in touch. https://www.felinefriends.ca/foster-and-adoption

Story
Paxton was found under a vehicle on a very cold day. He is a snuggle bum and loves to get kisses and cuddles. He is playful and loves all the kitties he has met. He should go to a home with another kitty or a family who is able to give him lots of stimulation and playtime. Meet Paxton at Ingersoll PetValu. He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and will come with a voucher for his neuter at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the neuter surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Leroy is a sweet and calm soul who would love a home to call his own. This boy loves quiet cuddles, chin rubs, and even loves a good belly rub! You will know he is in his happy place, because he lets his little tongue hang out of his mouth when he is content. If you are looking for an old soul in a soft wrapping, Leroy is the cat for you!Note from his foster: Leroy would likely do well in a home with other laid back, respectful cats (following a gradual introduction), but would love even more to have a home where he gets to soak up all the attention! He is great with kids as well, my children both love him. He knows his name already and comes when we call. Some cats have a gentle nature that you have just feel, and Leroy is one of those cats!**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this through 24PetConnect by PetPlace or Adopt-A-Pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Story
Hi, we're Tara & Calcifer, a 9-month-old pair of besties searching for a home of our own. Tara (medium hair gray/white tuxedo, female): Hi, I'm Tara! I was abandoned in the countryside with my sister over the summer. A very kind community member found us and noticed that we seemed really sick, so she got us help! My sister ended up passing away from suspected poisoning. I was really sick too, but I spent some time at the hospital and now I am in tip-top shape! My sister was my best friend, though, and losing her was really hard for me. I really love my foster brother, Calcifer; we met in foster care and have been inseparable ever since. I have a hard time making new feline friends, and although I am getting better, I would probably be happiest without any other cats in our forever home. I love to play and am full of beans. I'm crafty and super smart, and can make a toy out of nearly anything! I'm a little bit of a Miss Independent - I like cuddles, laying in your lap, and being picked up, but only on my own terms. Usually I'm too busy running around for that stuff! I'm very vocal, too, and I love to talk to my foster moms all day long. My foster moms say Calcifer and I are the silliest, most affectionate duo they've ever had! Calcifer (silver tabby, male): Hi, I'm Calcifer! I am named after a fire spirit from a movie, and my foster mom says it's a fitting name. I am high-energy, silly and full of personality. I also have a chill side - nothing much phases me, and I'm pretty happy to go with the flow! I'm super vocal and love to talk to my foster moms all day long, and I take my job of "water fountain security guard" very seriously, letting them know every time it's getting low! I met Tara in foster care and we became best friends. We love to wrestle and chase each other around all day long, and then curl up in bed with you at night. We haven't been tested with dogs but would likely do okay with cat-savvy dogs given appropriate, slow introductions. We are untested with kids but would do well with them given appropriate boundaries. Tara & Calcifer have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, health-checked by our veterinary partners, and both tested Negative for FIV/FELV. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair. If you have room in your heart & home for this dynamic duo, please submit an application at www.heartstohomes.ca/cat-adoption.
